As a temporary solution, some mices support binding a button to a key or macro. Then it can be used in Soldat like any other key or button.

But if it's possible within MM's stoneage version of DirectInput, then why not.

F12.

My Mouse has a left-click, right-click, scrollwheel-click, scroll up, scroll down, and two thumb buttons. I can use the standard left/right + scrollwheel as functions, but the two thumbs I can't. I can use them in firefox/IE to go forward/back a page, though, so the problem must be soldat not recognizing the buttons.

This would be knife.  I'm currently attempting to retrain my middle finger to work the nades on my scroll-click, while my ring takes over its old job of jetting.
May the Lag be with you.

Alt+F1 - F3 are hotkeys for your custom lag settings.
Alt+F4 will disable the lag entirely.

I'm somewhat mad as to how MM was working on a 1.4.1, and "somehow" hasn't seen this thread....

I haven't played Soldat since I last posted in here mainly to this.... Oh well... Guess time to play some more Return to Castle Wolfenstein: True Combat Elite.

I am grateful for MM for making such a wonderful game that is available to play for free, and when you have the time it would be nice for you to consider this suggestion.

I don't see any reason to not imput this into Soldat.  Because of that reason, I support this.

But it may be hard to use all of those extra mouse buttons.

Nah, it's easy to use all five of my mosue buttons, my hands aren't very big. However, I can still reach every button, two thumb buttons, left and right scroll wheels action, and then four index finger buttons.

This needs to get thrown in.

I agree.  If MM has some extra time to, he'll add it.

I use my third button for jets. Would probably add throw weapon and change weapon to mouse.
I say go.

...12 button mouse. 2 thumb buttons, 4 index buttons, 1 middle finger button, and the scroll wheels goes left, right, up, down, and clicks...

So pritty much, you don't need your keyboard then? ^_^

I support, I have to use my older mouse for this game, and would be cool to add nade, and throw buttons.

[EDIT]

We can't forget about the all important "secret game" MM's been working on, the Chrimson Glory engine (which is 3d) put into 2d, making it alot more powerful.

I remember reading something about this being MAINLY planes, WWI if I'm correct?

Anyway, he also said that there will still be ground combat, but mostly planes.  Think a flat soldat map, 50X bigger, and vehicles (well, planes).  The screen would have to be big, to compensate on the 2d aspect.

So, right now the list goes like this:

1. CGR (Crimson Glory Reloaded) ;]
2. School/Work/College/University/Sex/Drugs/Pancakes etc
3. Soldat :D

1.4 will leave us going for a bit, as there are few bugs..

I'm sure some people do care; but bumping for the sake of bumping is pointless, and serves no purpose. If it gets done, it gets done, and if not... well, it doesn't. Since there isn't any more useful information to come out of this topic, and to prevent further bump spammage, I'm going to lock this.

Gamer1389: please don't spam; bumping solely for the sake of bumping is spam, which is against the rules. If you are adamant about getting MM to take notice, you could always send him a PM.
