Soldat Pivot
« on: May 08, 2007, 09:33:13 am »
Yeah, yeah, I know, it's Pivot.  Again.  But, this time it's different.  With the v3 Beta, you can add sprites.  Which means, of course, stick figures with Soldat guns.  Behold:

Get the beta below.  And please, no sh*tty, low-quality ones, for the love of god.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

I am a very bad animator. I can't even animate stick figures in  pivot. I cant make them walk :(

A noob(who's most probably me) asks: What is this Pivot thing? How is it different from Flash?

It's a very simple program where you move a stick figures joints around and make him do stuff. It's much less advance than flash and you don't need any artistic skill.

Low beginner.

You said "no simple low quality ones" but this one is from a Low Quality. Work on the easing. The physics on the fall look awkward.

Wow.  Syrtus is actually good.  Needs a higher framerate...

Not as good, but still kinda funneh.  First one I made with the beta.

Sytrus, nice! :D Way better than my animations.

ORION, how do you make you stick figures so smooth?

With patience, and an understanding of how people move.

No, not the motion. But the bodies. You see, Sytrus' animation is very pixelated, but your stick-men look nice and not-pixelated. Or is it just my eyes playing tricks on me? :S

Framerate.  Syrtus rendered his at a low framerate, I rendered mine at a higher framerate.  You need about 20-24 fps for smoothness.

I get what you mean. You can make the stickfigures yourself with the stk-maker involved with Pivot. I used the default stks because that animation was a 5-Minute test, ORION made stks himself.

No, these were default.  For the beta, at least.  Just download the version from my first post and you'll see.

I know the beta defaults. I thought yours weren't default, they looked a tad bit thicker.

Anyways, mine are the 2.2.5 defaults.
