To fade, you just make the stickman a lighter colour each frame (Black->Grey->Light Grey->delete)

The blood is made by going to file->create stick, making different sized sticks, then animating them correctly.

If you guys want to continue with this check out www.stickpage.com->forums, or even better, www.darkdemon.org (down at the moment). If you want to get good at pivot, go to darkdemon. It's pretty much only pivot, with tuturials, contests, stuff like that.
