New game mode - Takeover

Takeover
(summary) Up to 4 teams.
In this mode there are flags randomly scattered around the map. When a player returns a flag the team gains a point (or for advanced mode a random primary weapon that any member in the team can use when they respawn. If a enemy player comes and steals that flag, the team can not chose that weapon when they respawn.) When all flags are in a base then that team wins 10 extra points and the flags reset.

It's basically like CTF but with multiple flags.

sounds complicated. lots of flags, and the flags somehow got something to say with weapons and stuff. I dont think it would catch on

Hmm. Not too bad idea. Basicly like advanced mode except instead of kills you cap to get more weapons. One problem: When one team starts winning they will probably keep on winning because they will have primaries and the other team wont. Is there a solution to that?

It's...different.  Essentially advance mode with a twist.  I would imagine that this would be hell to code, but it would sure make Leo's R/S/A a bit more interesting...
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

Nothing like sneaking into the enemy base and taking a flag that gives you a Spas.

Crazy game mode, then. It'd be fun capturing things that unlock team weapons.

The problem is: How the hell do we get the map balanced? Unless all the teams are on a single plain, it wouldn't work out too well. I'd have to make a map where you have two separate battles going on at once, yet separated completely!
I'd like to have a respawn limit, so that if your guy takes the weapon in, you can all respawn with it if you die but still completely eliminate other teams. That'd give the teams with primaries a rather big advantage, and press the others not to camp but rush.

All-around good with weapons that aren't long range, except in TW.

Heh, well I guess that It would be up to the mappers to make this game mode, although there are some strageties that you can use when you're playing.

Like luring all the enemies away with a flag you just captured and having everyone else rush into their base and steal some flags back...

Getting all flags is tough enough. Holding them has to be a nightmare. This mode seems fun, but hectic.

I'd love if this were a mode, it would be much more interesting than CTF. I think if it were implemented, the match should be won by unlocking every weapon and weapons should not be re-locked by having a flag stolen or anything.

Think of it this way:

Your team has to sneak into warehouses to steal weapons crates.  Other teams are doing the same.  Once you steal a weapons crate, your team gets access to that weapon.  After all weapons are taken from the warehouses, teams then steal weapons from each other. :P

How about you get a flag, its destroyed when you get it back to base, then you get a point. And the whole time you have all weapons. for this to work you would have to have 10-20ish flags on the map.

Ill "f12 (12sies)" it but for the sole reason of variety... hate the idea but until i hear an absolutley stupid idea for a game mode ill give any game mode suggestion a 12sies.

Nothing like juggling meat tenderizers on a Saturday while riding on a tram.

...Not to say there's anything special about doing any either of those.

This could easily be scripted if the ability to add more than 2 flags were added. Which it should be.
