Jet bug
« on: September 01, 2007, 10:33:06 am »
I noticed a little thing, when i was randomly playing maps.

In Cambodia, i started jetting upwards and accidentally hit the esc. button.
Even though the pause menu was infront of me, and the game was actually paused, the jet meter was still depleted.

And when i unpaused, my soldat was "thrown" higher, then i could get to with using the jets. It looked like i shot an m79 under my feet after jumping, to gain height, but the difference was, i didn't.

Useful?

Yeah, this has been known for a long time, since at least 1.3.1.
I use it all the time against bots. You can't use it online, though.
I consider it useful.
Also, if you set a gun's rate to 0, then shoot it and hit escape, the bullets will keep firing, the same way the jets keep coming.

Do people use it in climb maps?
OH wait. The pause menu doesn't pause the game during online play, forgot.

It's useful in climb maps offline, and a fun way to muck around with bots and pull off crazy shots.
