New gun, mix between ruger and steyr

Okay, this idea is inspired from reminiscing on Halo 2. The battle rifle. it is a machine gun with a small scope on it that fires fairly straight, maybe the arc is slightly smaller than a ruger. but it doesnt just spray, it shoots in 3 round bursts. maybe it would have 15 ammo (so 5 clicks), and take 7 shots (not 7 clicks, 7 bullets) to kill? you kind of get the idea? i think this would combine the two main types of guns in soldat, without making it unfair and still relatively balanced.

Is there a real gun that does the same thing? Soldat's guns are based on real guns, you can't just make them up. Granted, if it's on Halo it isn't "made up" but you get what i mean  ;D.

The m16 can shoot in three round bursts..... :P

Fair enough, i mean, if you can find a gun that suits the description, go for it. I think soldat does need another gun if you can fit it in somewhere.

I like the idea and think we should replace the m7p with a gun like the halo2 battle rifal.

The Soldat Halo mod has a Battle Rifle with 3 shots and extremely low reload time, which kinda simulates this...

anyways, just weapon-mod it in.

I would basicaly like m16 on the game that would be neat but many people say no because they dont like change.

I think an option to make more soldat weapon slots would be a neat idea and better parameters to mod with but mostly more weapon slots would be a good idea.

Actually, I'd like to change what I said. You could give the gun a 3 round clip that fires fairly rapidly and has a decent reload time. It wouldn't be perfect, but it'd be a 3 round burst, right?

Yes, but'd they would never have to reload, I.E. there is no time for them to load a new clip OF the 3 round bursts.
So they can keep 3 round bursting forever while other auto's have to reload

i really like this idea. I love the BR off of Halo 2. That was my fav. gun when i used to play.
Your acting like your having a duel and your opponent gets a pistol and you get a spork.
Isn't that pretty much what it is? I dunno wtf a spork is, I suppose it's way weaker than the pistol since you compared that to this.

lots of guns fit this description; the steyr itself, in fact, can be fitted with the three-round-burst setting (though it's not standard). the M16 (which can have a scope), as well as the L85A1 (which has a scope), the FAMAS (which has no scope, but can), and many submachineguns have a three-round-burst setting, as well as 30 (+ 1) rounds of ammo. recoil is not too bad on this setting normally, although the third bullet is normally wasted because it flies way over the target.

as for 'firing straight' and such, none of the guns in soldat fire straight enough, really, so that's kinda subjective. and this wouldn't need to be any less overpowered or underpowered because it's almost exactly like the aug anyway if it has 30 rounds (10 clicks)

i simply don't think this is necessary in soldat. after all, you can just do controlled bursts yourself. why make them underpowered?

M16A2, or G36.......Actually just do the M16A2 because it only has 3 round burst setting and semi automatic. The G36 has 3 modes. 3 round burst, automatic, semi auto.

MM should implement an option so we could change the weapon to be a shotgun-like reload(spas 12)
dual weapons(deagles) , 3 round burst , semi automatic , automatic and stabbing&throwing(knife) or must be fired from a crouching position

yes that would be awesome , but with one exception: if you can't use secondary weapons cuz this would be like a secondary weapon but only for a couple of weapons
