Downloading new maps

Downloading new maps through lobby from a game server sometimes takes a veeeery long time (once I had to wait for over 15 minutes... ) but the biggest problem is that I can't cancel it . When downloading, the menu "slows down". I mean it takes several seconds for it to react when I push a button. The 'Cancel' button doesn't help. I have to quit the game in order to stop downloading.
Is anyone else having the same problem? Or is it the way it's supposed to be?

1.Depending on the server and your internet connection it can take long time. Try to play in server that are close to your location.

2. For your other issue trie pressing the "Dissconect" button.

My internet connection is good and I only play on servers with ping lower than 100. Slow download is not a real problem, because I can always get a map from some website. It's just that I have to exit Soldat completely to be able to play again.

Just close Soldat altogether if that happens. It works for me.

Well yeah, it works for me too but I thought there was some other way or that it's because of those looby server problems.
