1st Place - RoboBlitz, Naked Sky Entertainment, Inc. (USA)

1st Runner-Up - Synaesthete, Students from DigiPen Institute of Technology (USA)

Zach Aikman, Will Towns, Joseph Tkach and Andy Maneri

2nd Runner-Up - Dawnspire, Silent Grove Studios (Sweden)

3rd Runner-Up - DEFCON: Everybody Dies, Introversion Software (UK)

General Category Semi-Finalists in alphabetical order:
Blockland, Step 1: Games LLC (USA)
Call of the Dragon, MindsEye Games & Hexgear Studios (USA)
Confronter: The Tower of Time, EivaaGames (India)
Sector 13, Reactor Interactive (USA)
Soldat, Michal Marcinkowski (Poland)
Uberpong, Nibbo Studios (Mexico)

Well it's over. This must be a joke. WTF is RoboBlitz?? I've only played DEFCON from that list, for 10 minutes, it's like a little flash game. I wonder about the rest I'll give them a try later and maybe it will give me a hint on why Soldat didn't win.

if you look on how well made the other games are it isnt strange. also I think those games got a bit more votes than soldat. defcon is no flash game. it is a very well made game with a fun game play.

And now i am finally happy with life...If it takes soldat losing to get you to kill yourself then i suppose i'll just have to take the good with the bad and move on.

Reason Soldat lost: Not enough people to vote. Plain and simple.

I don't think so, I'm sure Soldat has a bigger audience than RoboBlitz.
I played it and what kind of indie game is it? It's based on the Unreal engine and it probably had a bigger budget than all the games in the contest together. Just wait until EA Games enters the contest.

Dawnspire: I didn't play it, it says "original" fantasy game on the site. There is no such thing as an original fantasy game.

Synaesthete: cool idea but 2nd place!?

DEFCON: this game is also good but better than Soldat, where??
