Well, the poll is a good idea but I think the five stars combined with the amount of posts this topic has already makes it pretty clear. I wonder if it's going to be implemented in 1.4.1 or if we have to wait until the version after that. Or even if it'll get implemented at all. We'd need some more support from the beta-testers and the like.

I like it this suggestion a lot, though it's kind of all the same to me since I don't play clanwars etc, but it'd be a fun and simple little improvement.

Good idea, but I'd rather have it as "/settaunt a EFC LOW!" (that is /settaunt # taunt)
Why should the taunt key be part of the command name?

Well, I think that's easier for Michal to program.
Anyway, it doesn't really matter to me if the key's in the command or not, but if Michal wants to implement "/settaunt # taunt" instead of "/settaunt# taunt" or "/settaunt_# taunt" then it'd be better, indeed.

I can not understand the idea behind this. :/ At least not for the /settaunt. I have no reason to set my taunts ingame. ;_;
/loadtaunts is kinda unuseful imo. I see no reason to have many taunt files really, and setting taunts ingame sounds stupid for me, I think /savetaunts is stupid aswell.
I still wish this was implemented, maybe someone finds this useful.

Well the idea is basically the ability to change your taunts in-game, as you metioned already.
/settaunt # TAUNT
THis one sets the taunt for key # to TAUNT. However, it's in the memory, and not saved in the taunts.txt file. If you'd wish to save it in the tautns.txt file, you'd have to use /savetaunts tauntfile, where tauntfile is the filename of the taunt.
/loadtaunts tauntfile
This loads the taunts from tauntfile. This could be very handy to switch taunts. You could tie ALT+A to /loadtaunts taunts2. If you press ALT+A, Soldat will load the taunts from taunts2.txt . In taunts2.txt, you could tie ALT+A to /loadtaunts taunts3. Then again, in taunts3.txt you make a referance to taunts4.txt and when at the last file, make a reference back to the first file. This would enable you to browse trough different taunts in-game. For example, you could set up taunts for specific maps.
The goal is, as mentioned above, to be able to use specific taunts for certain maps. You could enter some positions where the EFC (Enemy Flag Carrier) is camping, so your teammates know where to find him. In Voland, you could add a line "EFC Camping on roof" for example, which can't be used in let's say ctf_Death2. Also, since the popularity boost of Avarax's Hexer mod, you could simply add /ofs by typing /settaunt a /ofs.
I agree that this function is mainly useful for those playing clanwars or heavily addicted to Avarax's Hexer mod, but I don't think this requires too much work to implement, and it's a nice add-on.
