Hey guys.
a-4-year-old and I were gonna play a little Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, and so I downloaded it. After DL I sintalled, and this came up:

Okay, so appearently I'm short of some Open GL thingie, yeah?
Right, so I download the whole package and install it as well:

Right, so now there's a bunch of files on my desktop, and quite frankly I don't know what to do with them. I suppose they have to go somewhere(Yeah, clever me), but me being such a tard with computers, I really have no idea. Also, it still says "unable to load..." as in the first pic.

At my defence, might I just say I allready did read the README file, but gained nothing.

So, if you guys could help me out here, it'd be great.

I think it's that you have a video card that doesn't support OpenGL or you don't have the latest drivers. Download the latest drivers, install them, restart and try opening the game again.

Well, at least that's what I had to do on my old comp where I had this old ATI Rage card. Updating drivers solved it.

Hmm... It seems this version of OpenGL is for windows 95, and I run windows XP. Could that be it?

I'm sorry.. anyway yu have a problem with openGL,yes? It its not only used for windows 95, since alots of poeple play it with XP. So, have you tried reinstalling, and putting those files in the folder?

You can check your drivers version in Device Manager. Right click on My Computer -> properties -> Hardware -> Device manager. From the click on the plus sign that's next to 'Display adapters'. Then you should see your video card name, right click on it and choose properties. Choose the Driver tab and look at the number next to Driver Version.
Go to your card's manufactors homepage (either ATI or Nvidia) and find the latest drivers for your card there and compare them to the version you have now. If there are newer available, download those.
You could paste your videocards name here and I can link you to the drivers download, if you want.

He says he has something like a "tnt 2".. Ive never heard of something like that.

Latest drivers for your video card (Windows XP): http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_78.01.html
Install them and then restart. Then try opening the game again.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can run RTCW:ET in DirectX. Check the config (if there is one).

Also, update your drivers, etc. as other people said. Oh, and be sure to get True Combat: Elite
