While you have a point, that simply seems a bit too strict.

Banning someone for 1 week so they cant view or post in the forum is too sctrict? Wow... I was thinking its still too nice.

But anywyas, if you want to improve this forum, you have to get strict. If you continue relying on punishments like -200 posts or deleting usernames, you shouldnt really be surprised as this forum becomes even more stupid.

I agree with Poop on this, although I'd take it a step further and ban them for a month or two. Some people might think this is extreme, but people generally wise up and realize the error of their ways the first time they're banned for a month. And if they don't, it's nobody's problem but theirs, because they're not here to whine about it anymore.

Setting their post counts to 0 would be nice as well, but only as an addition to the ban, just to stress the matter and make sure they understand completely that spam will not be tolerated.

I sorta liked the bashpit, I mean... It was a place, as I saw it, to just post funny stuff to show other people. But then the weird nerds came in and started ruining it by making stupid rpg posts and topics which were 99% similar to the one before it. xD
