News on version 1.4.1
« on: May 26, 2007, 02:11:57 pm »
The new Soldat version 1.4.1 is nearly complete. It will be out in a few days, probably this week. It`ll have an auto-update feature so that issues can be solved more quickly.
Along with Soldat will come the new dedicated server 2.6.1. The release of new server versions was on hold because of many changes in the network code and new features. So it`ll be worth waiting for.

Also as I mentioned a couple months ago the price of the registration will go up again. Now it`s only 11.99$, the moment 1.4.1 is out it`ll be 13.99$. If you have any questions concerning the registration I`ll be happy to answer, you can also ask everybody on the Soldat Forums. So if you haven`t registered yet head on to the registration page and buy Soldat now till the price is still lower.

 :)

Mainly I'm just waiting for any more map problems, so hurry and submit your findings. After that, v1.4.1 will probably be released.

wewt, you shouldn't tell us though, cause then if you are even a tiny bit late people will hate you. Instead just release it when finnished and everyone will be happy. as for the price thing... I'm glad I registered before 1.4 came out! (only a few days before too)

Soldat is worth way more than 14 bucks anyway. People complaining about the price need to realize this.

sweet.

This probably means that either:
A: The minimap has been improved
B: More feature have been added for registered people (health bars above teammates, more interface moddability, etc.)
C: MM is just flat broke and needs the money.

It will move to 14 after 1.4.1 is released.

Register now, and you will save 2 bucks.

I'd rather buy Counter Strike Source or 2 copies of Counter Strike 1.6 since they don't have bad hit registeration and they are almost bug free :|

no, he announced these second price changes a long time ago, there aren't any major new features or anything added to 1.4.1, but it does address most of the bugs that showed up in 1.4.  The auto-update is the main "new" thing added, and then tons and tons of bug fixes

Oh wow. 14 dollars. It's not like it's going to make you go broke, jebus.

Anyway, will people who had to turn on the video compatibility thing now be able to use the minimap?

(if 14 bucks does make you go broke, i apologise)

Yeah, I think most people have gotten used to the new ones.  I know I like the new ones, they make most things much more visible on a lot of maps.

The auto-update thing is a great idea, no more waiting for version releases for bug-fixing. :)
