(WM) Arcade Madness Game Rules v4.0
Sanity calms, but madness is more interesting.

Overall rules:
- Health recharges continuously but slowly, so you can flee and recharge
- When shooting an enemy your health increases by a percentage of the damage done. Reward for accurate shooting.
- Multiple game modes, each with their own weaponset and rules.
- Stationary guns! Killing six enemies without dieing grants you a statgun. You get a message in the chat window when you've earned one. Say b to build it. If you do not like statguns however, you can destroy one after obtaining one by standing close to it and saying d. This also makes you lose the ability to build one.
NOTE: You lose it again if you die before building it. Furthermore make sure that the ground you are standing on while building it is flat or it will bounce off the ground.
- Nukes: Killing twelve enemies in a row without dieing grants you a nuke. You get a message in the chat window when you've earned one. Type n to use it. What this does is spawn a circle of projectiles around you which fly outwards.
- Monkey friend: Occasionally (interval is random) the player with the lowest score gets a bot to help him. If you get a bot because you joined late or whatever, don't shoot it. It's there to help you. Any kill that it makes will be added to your score! When it dies it is gone again (kicked from the server). The bots name will contain your nickname. This is how you know it's your bot. Furthermore, it does not fire at you unless you open fire upon it. Monkeys get altered weapons during special gamemodes. Killing your own monkey makes you lose one point.
- Stroke of luck, every few minutes a random player gets a random item (vest, statgun or nuke) or a monkey to help him. Stronger bonuses appear less often.
- Teleporters. To speed up the game teleporters are present in the levels for quick travel to a random other teleporter. If someone comes out of a teleporter you are standing on you die (telefrag).
- Private Messages, you can send a private message to a user by typing /pm%name%message.

Game Modes
There are various modes which start every few minutes and last
between 30 and 70 seconds (partly random). After a game mode is over you get the gun you had before the game mode back. A timer displays which mode is running or coming up. The person who wins the game mode gets an extra kill as a bonus. In most modes winning means getting the highest kills - deaths. In hunter modes you can win the round by killing the hunter. One minute before the end of the round the person who has won the most game mode rounds gets a 5 point jackpot.
The game modes are:

M79 Madness
During this mode everybody gets an upgraded M79 with two rounds.

Knife fight
During this mode everybody is forced to use knives only.       
You can throw a knife by pressing F. You get a new knife by switching weapons (Q). Be careful not to throw away your gun after knife fight ends... (I've done that several times >_>)     
   
Ubergun madness
Everybody gets a rapidly firing launcher that causes mass destruction.

Terminator mode
During this mode everybody is forced to use upgraded desert eagles. These weapons are upgraded to have a higher firing rate and to hold more rounds than regular desert eagles.

Stealth mode
During this mode everybody becomes invisible and is forced to use upgraded desert eagles. Stealth is key!

Nade hell m/
During this mode grenades are replenished infinitely. No other weapons are allowed.

Hunter mode (only with 2 players or more)
In hunter mode one player is the hunter. This player has a better weapon than the non-hunters and therefore 4 additional points are awarded to the player that kills the hunter. Hunter mode ends when the hunter dies or leaves the game. The hunter loses two points if he or she commits suicide and one when killed by another player.
There are three different hunter modes with different (new) weapons. You get a clear message large on screen whether you are hunter or hunted, including a timer.

Bloody Madness
All guns get increased firing rate.

Sniper Showdown
Everybody is forced to use a sniper with multiple bullets. You get a magazine with room for 10, but only 4 round of ammo. Reloading takes long but if you have the time, it's worth it ;D.

Instagib
Everybody gets a rocket launcher based on the law that fires fast and very accurate.

Statgun madness
Statguns are upgraded to uberguns (massive launchers). Players get a gun that can fire 3 rockets in rapid succession. However, it takes long before the gun fires, decreasing it's effectiveness in the hands of an unexperienced player. Obtaining a statgun during this mode can be quite beneficial, but also makes you a target for elimination.

Boogie mode
Three boogiemen are spawned. Everybody gets a shotgun (rapid clicking causes it to fire really fast in this mode).

Nade launcher
Everybody gets a special launcher.

Oh no, more rockets!
The name says it all. Everybody gets a gun that fires three rockets. The rockets make a fairly large curve (looks like MIRV :p).

Teleportation mode
During this mode you can type /save to store a location and /load to go to it. Hint: Use it for ambushing!

Exploding Corpses!
During this mode all dead bodies EXPLODE.

Flaming pistol!
Everybody is armed with ussocoms that have special ammunition that ignites the player on impact. Players spontaneously combust and explode when health is low.

Melee
During this mode everybody gets knives and whenever cluster or regular grenades run out they are replenished with cluster grenades.

Zombie mode
Four chainsaw zombies are spawned and everybody gets a ruger.

Change places!
During this mode every few seconds (random between 3 and 13 seconds) a random alive human player is selected and switched with the player that is nearest.

SIR BOOMZALOT
A bot is spawned that fires missiles (with varying velocity) in all directions every few seconds (random between 2 and 7 seconds) and shoots a steyr. Furthermore, he has 1000% health and is for obvious reasons not harmed by his own missiles. Kicked when shot. Five points are awarded to the person that kills the bot.

SIR FLAMEZALOT
A bot is spawned that spawns a ring of fire around him every few seconds and shoots 4 missiles at different intervals. Uses a ruger and is equiped with cluster bombs! Again, five points are awarded to the person that kills the bot.

Ninjah's
Three invisible ninja's are spawned carrying knives. A ring of flames will denote their position every five seconds.

Kamikazeh
Four kamikazi bots are spawned that try to fly against you and detonate. Size of the explosion varies.

Sir Knivezalot
A bot is spawned that spawns a ring of fire around him every few seconds and throws 5 knives at different intervals. He prefers the steyr! Again, five points are awarded to the person that kills the bot.

Move statguns
During this mode, a statgun can be picked up by typing p and deployed by typing b. To get rid of a statgun just pick one up and die while having it.

This help is brought up in game (in pieces) by typing !help. Important commands for specific game modes will be announced whenever a game mode commences. Therefore it is playable without ever reading the helpfile.

Maplist
Bigfalls, Bunker, Cambodia, Daybreak, Jungle
All maps were modified when adding teleporters. However, since you already have most of the scenery of these maps download will be quick.

If there is nobody on the server, type !boogieman to spawn a boogieman to spar against you (while you wait for other players). You can also start a few single player game modes by !flamezalot, !boomzalot, !boogiemode and !knivezalot.

Feel free to suggest maps/features you'd like to see and report bugs in this thread.

It's based in the Netherlands and it's usually online between 17:00 and 22:00 GMT (no gaurantees though). Once I finish the script I plan on using another computer as a dedicated server so I can leave it on during the day.

Some changes:

- You do not lose earned stationary guns anymore.
- Damage of the 'uber gun' decreased.
- Grenade Hell (Nades only) Mode shortened by 20 seconds compared to other modes.
- Game crippling bug in hunter mode 2 fixed (somehow the drawtext gave me an access violation in soldat every few rounds of this mode).
- Hunter mode 3 altered because of balance issues.

More stuff to come.

- Weakened the uber gun and strengthened the ussocom a bit to balance out the hunter modes.
- Increased stat gun ammo and increased firing rate.
- Slightly increased firing rate or rounds of machine guns.
- Added that after the first 4 minutes the player with the least points gets a vest every few minutes (interval is random between 2 and 5). For the people who join in halfway through a game (stroke of luck).
- Shortened nade hell and ubergun mode a bit.
- Fixed some minor bugz.

Any suggestions for extra game modes or doodads?
So far it's:
m79 madness
knife fight (unlimited-knives-o-rama)
ubergun madness (mad launcher thing)
terminator mode (fast firing desert eaglez)
stealth mode (everybody invisible and desert eagles)
nade hell (nades only! but an infinite amount)
and three hunter modes:
Ubergun vs M79
Desert Eagles vs Ussocom
and M79 vs Spas

Going offline now, probably back tomorrow around the same time.

Added more modes:

"Sniper showdown" where everybody gets an improved faster shooting sniper (note that the sniper is unchanged during regular game mode).
"Bloody Madness", where all machine guns temporarily get increased firing rate, if you don't have a machine gun during this mode, it's your loss ;).
"Insta gib", sorta like m79 madness but with single straight shots and mortarz.

"Stat Gun Madness!" - Stat gun is upgraded to a rocket launcher. Players get an artillery gun to fight the stat gun owners and conquer it! Mode is only available when two or more stat guns have been spawned on the map.
"Stroke of luck 1" - The player with the least score gets a bulletproof vest. For late joiners.
"Stroke of luck 2" - One player, chosen at random, gets the ability to build a stat gun (say b)! Stat gun is lost if the player dies before he or she can build it.

Script doesn't work with the new version. Server down until further notice.
Also, I was thinking of switching to TeamMatch or CTF since people seem to prefer this. Any thoughts on this?

no other host will be able to run it aswell.... only ec servers but then saike should pay enesce for a server and i bet he doesnt wont to do that :P

No and it won't be until Enesce releases the new server version. Until you see dedicated server 2.6.2 released, it won't be online. He broke setweaponactive and hasn't released a patch that fixes it and I refuse to rent a server from him.

So sorry but it'll probably be quite a while.

yea! seems to work all well saike tho i got some things:

sniper is a bit weird dunno what causes it because of a normal weapon.ini but anyways..
ak and steyr rock but make the mp5 and ruger weak...
minigun might hav a little more damage! Spraying is effective tho with lots of players

Anyways luv the mod! Big up and thnx for letting me hosting it!
Finnally some ppl on the server and a stable soldat!!

Like I said, I have ideas.

Bug fixes:
To fix sniper bug, you need to heighten speed, and maybe strength of the weapon.


Ideas!


Melee mode:
Only knifes and nades can be used, but they are both unlimited.

Zombie attack!
6 Zombies spawn with either Chainsaws or Soccoms, while you are forced to use the rugger.

Cluster wars:
Cluster packs are constantly spawned at you.

IM GONNA DIE!
During this mode, when you die, you explode. Why? Because its funny.

Its raining nades!
During this, grenades fall from the sky!

Ultra Spas:
During this, the spas shoots rapidly fast and reloads after every shot.



HINTS!

To have a rapid firing M79 during instagib, hold down fire and F.

During knife fight, hold down F and go intro prone, then get up quickly, when you get up, the knife will go much further.

Okay, Melee mode, Cluster wars, Ultra Spas sound good. For the other two I need to run some tests first to see if CreateBullet works stable enough. Zombie attack might be a good idea to do when there are less than 2 or 3 players in the game. Any more would trigger too much lag on spawning so many zombies. The sniper will be fixed in a while. Note that the sniper did not actually change, the reason it seems underpowered is because of the sheer amount of bulletproof armors in the game.

I'll keep you guys posted on updates.

Okay, coded three modes today:

Teleportation mode:
during this mode you can store your position by typing the command /save and teleport to it by /load. Good for ambushing/dodging stuff.

This was an awesome idea you had. It's actually much fun seeing all the corpses flying around when I'm sparring against bots.

Flamer Pistol
Everybody gets an USSOCOM with incindiary bullets which set the enemy on fire upon impact. Corpses explode when health is low and another shot is delivered.

I cannot upload the new script to spkka's server at the moment, so you'll have to wait for a bit for these new modes. No actually, it works, as Xxypher said, you have to be a mod to trigger the command. The command is called !initgamemode btw ;)

New modes coded:

Melee mode
Cluster grenades and knives! Note that you have to toss your regular grenades before you obtain clusters (no way around this).

Zombie mode
4 Boogie men are spawned and everybody gets a Ruuuuuuuger!

Also fixed a bug that caused a boogieman from a gamemode to stay after the game mode had ended.

(WM) Arcade Madness v2.0 Game Rules

Overall rules:
- Health recharges continuously but slowly, so you can flee and recharge
- When shooting an enemy your health increases by a percentage of the damage done. Percentage depends on the used weapon.
- Multiple game modes, each with their own weaponset.
- Stationary guns! Killing three enemies without dieing grants you a statgun. You get a green lined message in the chat window when you've earned one. Type b to build it.
NOTE: You lose it again if you die before building it. Furthermore make sure that the ground you are standing on while building it is flat or it will bounce off the ground.
- Monkey friend: Occasionally (interval is random) the player with the lowest score gets a bot to help him. If you get a bot because you joined late or whatever, don't shoot it. It's there to help you. Any kill that it makes will be added to your score! When it dies it is gone again (kicked from the server). The bots name will contain your nickname. This is how you know it's your bot. Furthermore, it does not fire at you unless you open fire upon it. Monkeys get altered weapons during special gamemodes.
- Stroke of luck, every few minutes a random player gets a random item or a monkey to help him.

Game Modes
There are various modes which start every few minutes and last
between 30 and 70 seconds (partly random). After a game mode is over you get the gun you had before the game mode back. Countdown timers displaying which mode is running or coming up are visible on screen. The person who wins the game mode gets an extra kill as a bonus. Winning means getting the highest kills - deaths. One minute before the end of the round the person who has won the most game modes gets a 5 point jackpot.
The game modes are:

M79 Madness
During this mode everybody gets an upgraded M79 with two rounds.

Knife fight
During this mode everybody is forced to use knives only.       
You can throw a knife by pressing F. You will immediately obtain a new one when you do. Be careful not to throw away your gun after knife fight ends... (I've done that several times >_>)                 

Ubergun madness
Everybody gets a rapidly firing launcher that causes mass destruction.

Terminator mode
During this mode everybody is forced to use upgraded desert eagles. These weapons are upgraded to have a higher firing rate and to hold more rounds than regular desert eagles.                 

Stealth mode
During this mode everybody becomes invisible and is forced to use upgraded desert eagles. Stealth is key!                               

Nade hell m/
During this mode grenades are replenished infinitely. No other weapons are allowed.

Hunter mode (only with 2 players or more)
In hunter mode one player is the hunter. This player has a better weapon than the non-hunters and therefore 4 additional points are awarded to the player that kills the hunter. Hunter mode ends when the hunter dies or leaves the game. The hunter loses two points if he or she commits suicide and one when killed by another player.
There are three different hunter modes with different (new) weapons. You get a clear message large on screen whether you are hunter or hunted, including a timer.

Bloody Madness
All guns get increased firing rate.

Sniper Showdown
Everybody is forced to use a sniper with multiple bullets. You get a magazine with room for 10, but only 4 round of ammo. Reloading takes long but if you have the time, it's worth it ;D.

Instagib
Everybody gets a rocket launcher based on the law that fires fast and very accurate.

Statgun madness
Statguns are upgraded to uberguns (massive launchers). Players get a gun that can fire 6 rockets in rapid succession. However, it takes long before the gun fires, decreasing it's effectiveness in the hands of an unexperienced player.

Boogie mode
Three boogiemen are spawned. Everybody gets a shotgun (rapid clicking causes it to fire really fast in this mode). Statguns are upgraded to massive launchers again in this mode.

Nade launcher
Everybody gets a launcher that fires grenades. Time your use of the jetpack well! ;D

Oh no, more rockets!
The name says it all. Everybody gets a gun that fires three rockets. The rockets make a fairly large curve (looks like MIRV :p).

Teleportation mode
During this mode you can type /save to store a location and /load to go to it. Hint: Use it for ambushing!

Exploding Corpses!
During this mode all dead bodies EXPLODE.

Flaming pistol!
Everybody is armed with ussocoms that have special ammunition
 that ignites the player on impact. Players spontaneously combust and explode when health is low.

Melee
During this mode everybody gets knives and whenever cluster or regular grenades run out they are replenished with cluster grenades.

Zombie mode
Four chainsaw zombies are spawned and everybody gets a ruger.

Change places!
During this mode every few seconds (random between 3 and 13 seconds) a random alive human player is selected and switched with the player that is nearest.

SIR BOOMZALOT
A bot is spawned that fires missiles (with varying velocity) in all directions every few seconds (random between 2 and 7 seconds) and shoots a steyr. Furthermore, he has 1000% health and is for obvious reasons not harmed by his own missiles. Kicked when shot. Five points are awarded to the person that kills the bot.

SIR FLAMEZALOT
A bot is spawned that spawns a ring of fire around him every few seconds and shoots 4 missiles at different intervals. Uses a ruger and is equiped with cluster bombs! Again, five points are awarded to the person that kills the bot.

(this help is brought up in game (in pieces) by typing !help)

This version will be uploaded in a few days, if you see a v2.0 BETA server online, that's me, but beware because it can go offline at any time without notice[/i]

I have 8 bots, they are my minion basically, I call them Xxypher Bot.
They kick ass, but their unstoppable if they are all in at the same time.
Maybe this.

Four random Xxypher bots spawn, when one is killed, another spawns, this goes for how ever long it is set to.

I also have a LAWbot, which only uses the LAW, not too smart though.

Meh, I went into the Soldat.ini and turned Dedicated off.
But yeah, I did three games to 5 kills, my bot won 2, yours won 2, and the last was a tie.
Sooo, I am gonna try to make mine better lol

Yeah, I have chat off, so I never knew to fix that. Its easy to shut them up though, just turn their tlaking setting down.

Flying minigun:
When you have the minigun, it shoots fast rapid spas bullets that do hardly any damage at all, but may cause lag...

The new version isn't at the moment since I'm going to bed now, but in two days the new version will be up permanently. I will also have v2 online for a while tomorrow but In the meantime it would be nice to think of a concept to get people to join when there are no human players on the server (keeping the first few interested is the hardest). And regular sparring against bots doesn't seem to have much appeal.

Oh and btw, in boomzalot mode and the hunter modes the hunted is set on fire and explodes after being shot for added drama ;D.

perhaps you could make a game mode that only works while 2 or less players are on the server:


Heres one:

Explosive chainsaw mode

like 2-4 bots with chainsaws join the game

the chain saws are set so that  when you pull the triger it will make an explosian appere far enough in front of the player that it doesnt hurt him

7 bots would be too laggy, maybe adding two or 3, seeing as once they see you, they explode.
The bots would need soccoms or some sort of weapon anyway.

Okay, did some playtesting with a lot of ppl and altered balances a bit.

Mr Flamezalot and mr bombzalot were too strong. I now divide the damage they take from hits by two (rather than three) when there are less than 4 players and by three (rather than 5) when there are more. Furthermore, they don't automatically heal and don't have vampirism like the regular soldats anymore (too frustrating). They seem okay now.

There's still an odd bug in the script. Sometimes the server keeps trying to kick player 32 (repeatedly for a long time), while there cannot be a player 32 since the maximum numbers of players is 16. I am also confused where this originates from since I don't have the number 32 anywhere in my code or iterators. I will try to track down where this comes from tomorrow. It doesn't crash the server or cause errors so it's no biggie, it's just annoying because it tries this a lot and it makes big log files... It also makes my debug information harder to read. Perhaps it has something to do with IDToName or something... not sure though.

Other than that, I think the script worked pretty well. No major hiccups. I reckon you either love it or hate it though. At least, on this server, when somebody fires an m79, you'll at least be sure everyone has one ;D.

OK i Got 3:
a very bad day:
Your hp continusly gose down by like .5 hp per sec
Yet you get randome power ups when the round starts

Hells Minnion:
Like 5 bots called Minions join and
The minions hp heals by like 2 hp per sec
If they come in contact w/ u you get set on fire
Then They go BOOOOM!!! when they die

Bounty:
If u kill someone u get bounty points
when a person kills you they get your bounty poinst added to theres
At like 10 BP a bounty hunter bot joins
Kill the Bounty hunter to get an extra 3 BP
The one W/ the most BP at the end wins

Very bad day sounds cool. Hells minnion sounds laggy ;D. Bounty sounds like it could be interesting too but it'd be pretty confusing for someone who doesn't know the rules.

Flamezalot doesn't have flames when I spawn him when the server is empty? And who was it that decided to kick him and send out Ninjas instead (I'm pretty sure it wasn't the script itself).

Yes, flames have been disabled due to lag problems. He still has missiles though. And it wasn't me! :O

well it could only be me or saike but i didnt do anything aswell. But i think some modes do start when only 1 player is ingame. I'll check logs sai`ke

The flames weren't adding much in terms of how dangerous he is, especially not considering how much lag they were causing. I'd rather sacrifice some fire effects rather than gameplay. So maybe he just needs to be renamed.

Ranked Mode

It would work like that. Let's say, there are 8 people on the server. You kill the first person, you get 8 points, you kill second person, 7 points etc.

What about a doombot mode:

Summons 2-3 'doombot(s)' thet have falmers
Ur hp slowly degenerates (no not REgenerate DEgenerate) by 5 hp per sec.
On kill the doombot is kicked
when all doombots are kicked then mode is over
killing a doombot gives you 3 points
