From Dictionary.com: "elitist - noun - someone who believes in rule by an elite group". Seeing as how I rather enjoy the concept of freedom and democracy, I am not too sure how you came up with that description of me.
That was, in fact, the entire point of the story. If I had made it where the "boy who cried noob" was a fair and generous soul who gave food to the homeless, it would have lessened the effect a tad, don't you think?
Well, seeing as how I am not a "***got", I don't use leet speak, I never claimed that I had an ak47 (which isn't even in the game, by the way), and I never claimed that he was "dark-hearted", I can only assume that you didn't even read my post. Disapointing.
Maybe he too is a noob at heart.
I did. And seeing as how we were the only two there, you are going to have to take my word for it.
Perhaps. But it sure makes for a great story telling effect, no?
And it would be rather coincidental that he left just as he was getting owned. I know that when I start loosing, I ramp up my game, and become more determined than ever to win. If I had to leave at the moment that I was loosing, I would stay just a little bit longer just to prove that I wasn't wimping out.
Elitist is also an internet term-http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=elitist
You have to give both sides a chance.
You're some stereotypical ******* that has read too many books.
Did I ever say you did? There's something called an EXAMPLE. Also:Quote from: Ender Wiggin on May 31, 2007, 05:53:20 pm Maybe he too is a noob at heart.
No, I am not.
No, you need to tell the truth in both sides. Saying "Hey this noob left and he was liek "OMFG U ALL SUCKS" right befur he left lolz well not rly but its a great story telling effect" is a dumb and rather ELITIST way to tell a story.
And if you kept being owned? How long would you stay and take the brutal anal rape of your superior? An hour to prove you're not a noob? YOU'RE STILL LEAVING WHILE BEING OWNED.

Anyone can just make up new meanings for words, and last time I checked the Urban Dictionary isn't considered the official English dictionary. It doesn't have to be "official", as long as people go by it and use it as a reference. And FYI, many people use the word even if it didn't originate from Urbandictionary. And it didn't.Quote from: Paintd on June 16, 2007, 08:19:42 amYou have to give both sides a chance. Says who? I don't see that rule anywhere. I think your problem is that you only read news articles. Ever read an editorial? Every read a magazine article? Ever read anything else ever? No one has ever said that you need to give both sides a chance.Um, yes. In news articles you don't make up lies, you tell the truth. You don't completely shift the story to please one side, you stay neutral.Quote from: Paintd on June 16, 2007, 08:19:42 amYou're some stereotypical ******* that has read too many books.I fail to see the correlation between being a stereotypical ******* and reading too many books. Does reading make you an *******? I never noticed that effect before, but maybe your vast bank of knowledge and worldly experience has taught you better. For your information, the word was bastard. And books do cause stereotypes. If you've ever even read a fiction book that's trying to tell a "good" story, they keep the bad people bad and the good people good. No one is completely a bloodthirsty evil person. And no one is perfect.Quote from: Paintd on June 16, 2007, 08:19:42 amDid I ever say you did? There's something called an EXAMPLE. Also:Quote from: Ender Wiggin on May 31, 2007, 05:53:20 pm Maybe he too is a noob at heart.Well, once again you haven't read what I wrote. Notice, if you will, the "Maybe" at the beginning of that sentence. That implies uncertainty, a suggestion; something that is definite is not started with a "maybe".Your 'Maybe' implies to the "too noob", not just "noob". It's obvious that in the whole story you were implying he was a noob, what with your "i owned him" such and such.Quote from: Paintd on June 16, 2007, 08:19:42 amNo, I am not. So what you are saying is: "I am not going to take your word for it, I am going to assume whatever the hell I want."Jesus, you sould like an MSN bot. Now think of it this way - how would you like to listen to an MSN bot tell a story of his experiences? BORING AS FUCK.Quote from: Paintd on June 16, 2007, 08:19:42 amNo, you need to tell the truth in both sides. I didn't get the memo, find the sticky, or read the rule book that says that you have to tell both sides. And once again you are using a made-up definition of a word. You should stop and try using real words to get your point across. I could make the following sentence: "asdf _#$UJ mxjdl thing ush fung budwy" mean anything I want, but that doesn't make it a real sentence.Except for the fact that PEOPLE USE THE TERM AND KNOW WHAT THE FUCK IT MEANS. You're a fucking moron.Quote from: Paintd on June 16, 2007, 08:19:42 amAnd if you kept being owned? How long would you stay and take the brutal anal rape of your superior? An hour to prove you're not a noob? YOU'RE STILL LEAVING WHILE BEING OWNED.Well, the thing with me is that I don't keep getting owned. I almost always pull ahead, especially since I play mostly in the public servers. If I do find someone who is better than me, I make it an interesting game, which I don't consider to be ownage. And if they win, I ask them for their Xfire so that I can play them again sometime. I like to play against people who are better than me; they make me a better player. So you spend your time learning how to "be the best" at Soldat and making new "soldaten" friends? You never lose, because you spend all your fucking time on the computer. GET A FUCKING LIFE, AND STOP POSTING THOSE CHEESY "I OWNED DIS NOOB LLOOLLOOL" STORIES.
Paint'd, you are asking for a story instead of what happened. If he fought like a noob, why should he say he didn't?
You don't need the truth. It is a story. Just accept it and move on it's not that big of a deal. All you are showing is how immature you are as a new member of the forums.
Thanks for the support guys. I could keep arguing back and forth forever, but I don't think anyone else is going to enjoy it, so I am through destroying each of his points. At this point, he is basically just screaming insults at me anyways; there isn't much argument left.I think I need to write a new one. I never really enjoyed writing, although it has always been focused on analyzing some dumb English book, but when you combine it with something cool like Soldat, it becomes so much more interesting.
Well, the thing with me is that I don't keep getting owned.
wow Paintd no one is making you read this. If you read it, (Im not even too sure you did) just say I didn't like it because... Don't blatantly go out of your way to bash someone over something so stupid. Your arguments are childish at best. All you really say is 'that didn't happen' when you obviously have no idea what happened.
The whole running away with your tail between your legs thing, is a matter of opinion, and make it more interesting. Who would care if he left because he had a dentist appointment, hmm? I'll answer that for you. No one, because it's not exciting. Nevertheless, it wasn't really a huge part of the story, and thus should never have been brought up never mind argued. It is in fact you Paintd who needs the life wasting your time replying to something you didn't like in the first place.
Lastly, you commented on Ender's spelling and grammer. If you read upward, you would see that he has spelled most if not all words correctly using proper English words and grammar, while you often spell words wrong and your vernacular is lacking in quantity and quality.
