In-GAME clan
« on: June 01, 2007, 10:24:40 am »
It should be good with a IN-GAME clan function. You can start a clan inside the game, for an example we start the [n00b] clan, and there every ppl can join. And if they join they gain a [n00b] tag before their name. Then you can set options to the clan and see how much ppl has joined. And clan-wars.

No I like this idea. And there would be a whole menu of options, the ability to start a clan server, etc.

This is not a bad idea, but it would mean adding a lot of things. To start with, a player registration feature, and also server where all clans and players are stored. Well, and of course all the menus and options for creating clans, accepting members, making clan wars, etc...
I think it's better to forget about this idea.

I think about sums it all up, it might be nice but we have infinite clannability with what we have now.

I think this would be a good idea in the future in a large update, like in 1.5.

I don't even know how the "now" clan works, but whatever rocks your boat is fine with me.

Would be INSANELY hard to script, 98417902479823609423 clans would pop up ;]

Why not earn money on it? Like 1$ a month per clan and if it is a really big clan like 2$ a month then the members can have the clan running by paying by SMS. Then probably the registration fee can be a bit cheaper if it is many who pays clan.

Erm, F11 to paid clans. As a matter of fact, F11 to the whole idea. Sure, it sounds good now but people would abuse it (every noob would create his own clan and run around using it, not joining anyone else "i already have a clan" and stuff wouldn't work correctly, it would become Slogan instead of Clan)

@Kryp -- go buy some skills. use /command to bring up the commands.

Or maybe it can be only for registered users.

I say its a good idea.

Have a special setting or game mode where you have to have the same thing before your name like [S-I-C] and it will group you, and the other team have like >RE< and it will group them, and then anyone without those two abbreviations will be set to spectator.

Like you can set what two clan tags are playing.
And no for paying, and no to registered only, I may be registered, but some of my clan members aren't.

So, good idea? Bad idea?
Me myself I would F12

This is hard to make and it reminds me MMORPG like WOW or LineageII, not Soldat...
My SPAS-12 doesn't like most of people. He can mistakenly shoot your brain out of your head and splash it on the nearest wall.

Then write a a server script if you're really desperate. Lol.
When life hands you High Fructose Corn Syrup, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Maltodextrin, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate,
Magnesium Oxide, Calcium Fumarate, Yellow 5, Tocopherol and Less Than 2% Natural Flavour... make Lemonade!

Hmm... I don't know about the hard to script part but if it was easy to make a clan then a lot would pop up by random noobs testing out soldat for the first time.

i think this is a fine idea. Right now its way to hard to keep a clan going. All three clans I've joined have died in like a month. A rigid electronic structure would make clanning so much easier. Right now I'm too good for pubs but, setting up clans and what not without a good system is just too much time that I'm not willing to invest. Support right here.
