i think lapis lazuli made it up
but pretty much you need to use explosives to knock your opponent on to deadly polygons

i think it would be pretty rad as a game mode

It's really not a soldat type of thing. Why do people always come up with these things? (Like vollyball? WTH?)
I am but a figment of your imagination. You are creating me to see what perfection is.

You dont need a game mode, you just need to make a map.

Well, it's not a bad idea. We SHOULD be able to make it ourselves, but can't until the hardcoded explosive damage values are fixed.

Or did MM fix that bug in 1.4.1?

It's easy.. all's you need is to have knowlege in modding the grenade damages, and minor mapping skills.

Why do people say you need mapping skills for this? It's not a matter of mapping at all. The main problem here is having AI to fight against you while dealing no damage.

Online, this could easily be accomplished with TeamMatch (force everyone to join one team), but it would be unfeasible as an official gamemode since only a few weapons could really be used in a practical manner
