Ruger is not overpowered becouse.
1. Ruger has only 4 bullets
2. Recyl is so high
3. Long distance is hard to shoot
4. BECOUSE YOU NEED SKILL TO HANDLE IT!  :P

THE RUGER NEEDS MORE ROUNDS!! im crap wif ruger and find it hard 2 reload after 4 shots everytime. if its goin 2 hard 4 rounds then u suggest that it reload faster
The reason you are crap with it, is because like most people, you probally just spam the rugershots instead of actually taking time and aiming. In realistic all you need is 1 shot if you hit in the torso or head (not just head :O ) so instead of freaking out at someone and spamming ruger rounds, stop, aim, fire. i dont think its overpowerd in the least in realistic, the greated advantage of the gun is its long distance accuarcy,  but when you shoot someone from a full screen away, it kicks so hard you are looking straight up, and you need to readjust fast, which is hard, and takes getting used to, and its easy to over compensate and miss your 2nd round (if you missed the first). The thing that REALLY needs to get fixed for realistic, is the ruger SPRAY, thats what i hate, you can drop people so fast from spray, its like spamming 4 barrett shots really really fast, and are almost guarenteed a kill from it. but other than that, the ruger is just fine as is.

4 rounds are perfect, and it acutally reloads faster than it used to, but the time inbetween shots is longer, but does more damage.

Just because you say you're crap with it doesn't mean the weapon balance testers have to make it easier for you.

Preload? It doesn't have a startup time, and if it does it's unnoticeable.

I think it is overpowered. And the only reason I would say that is because it makes the barret (minus zoom) obsolete.

But the barrett has zoom, so it isn't obsolete.  That's why it's still useful in realistic mode.

We need different weapons for realistic though yeah.

No, just different skills.

i think the ruger is overpowered....
one hits are too easy with this weapon

Easy for you, or easy for other people?  If people are killing you a lot, it's because they're better than you.  Don't assume that a gun is good just becuase the person using it is.

I think the ruger is perfectly balanced.  It's a one hit kill, sure, but it's difficult to aim and there's a LOT of recoil.  If you miss that one shot, you're pretty much dead.

the Barret also shoots in an almost straight line, rugers curver more = less range.

rugers are only one hit ill to the head. If anyone's seen how small the heads are, you understand. If you take into account lag, ruger only has on average about 3-2 shots. Yes, I've played with 60 pings and almost half my shots don't register on certain occasions. but usually 1/4 shots don't count. If it's the first, it doesn't matter because you're already dead.

I'm accustomed to shooting in 3/4 shots per cartridge conditions because anyone who plays with ruger enough will simply be apprehensive at the ballance. Having children complain about rugers being cheap, yet little did they know that you already hit them two extra times in the head that didn't even count, is really a laughing matter. Yet I've been killed by a MP5 faster than I could even shoot with my ruger. The guy simply shot 3 bullets into my skull.

in my humble opinion.

I read "I'm hoe."
So I was all confusted.

Chunky, if you miss four shots with the Ruger, maybe you shouldn't... use.. the Ruger. Try the Minigun. It has 100 shots. Anyway, the Ruger is fine as it is.

Compared to the other weapons in the game, i can see the ruger having that amount of recoil for game purposes.
However, the fact that the apptly named "Realistic mode" sugests a more realistic gun shuns the guns ability to pitch up 70 degrees every time fired.
I always look at games with variables like such to be strategic and karmic; guns have set atributes because it must be good and bad at the same time. The good is that it deals death to the player (headshots are fatal). The bad is that you must steady your hand and twitch it so that you hold your cannon straight again. The skill that is required from you must overcome the bad of the gun and take advantage of the good. This is how you become a pro gamer.

I don't find ruger overpowered. Actually even less in realistic mode.

In my opinion this is the weapon that requires most time for aiming (shortened by skill ofcourse) than any other weapon in the realistic mode. If, let's say, a somewhat skilled AK user is coming at you, you've got two possible things to do:
1. Aim carefully and kill him before he has enough time to launch the first spray of bullets at you
or
2. Miss the shot and die trying to re-aim while getting hammered by bullets

...and yes, I do think that ruger needs more precise aiming than barret. With barret's zoom advantage you have enough time to switch to secondary weapon or in some cases even hide before the actual impact occurs. With ruger you are face-to-face with your opponent before you can even start aiming.

Personally I don't like using ruger in realistic.
Only sometimes in Infiltration while in bravo team and only for taking single opponents down.

Do you really think it takes 10 bullets from an AK to kill somone? Or 30 minigun bullets to absolutely slay someone?
To that effect in Soldat the Desert Eagles kill MUCH less bullets than with the Minigun even though in Real-Life TM  a handgun would put a bullet through your leg but a Minigun designed to be mounted on Helicopters would shoot with such force and with such a high-caliber bullet you might think that the resulting bullet wound was done with a bullet the size of a drinks-can.

*restrains from flame*

I think the ruger would be good if it had 5 shots instead of 4, it is so superbinked and so long reload it should have another bullet.

Not more bullets, just no. It's already overpowered.

And stop phucking whining about the bink and the recoil, those are the things wich make it a bit more balanced. It's a..."okay" weapon.

lmao t-bone barret in normal kills in one shot nothing changes in real.. maybe you should explode when shot by it in real servers.
In realistic it should be semi-automatic in fact. >_>

One suggestion how to check if ruger is overpowered. Take it, play for month or two just with it.If you win everytime, everywhere with everyone- you can tell yourself that is overpowered and take another gun, get pro.But if ruger alone won't make you greatest player of real mode-what are we talking about then??

the problem with the ruger in realistic is, that you (assuming you use an auto) might be teh super pwnzor, but even if you already got the enemy to 10%, he can still get you with a lucked or aimed shot... the ruger doesnt really have any disadvantages in most situations, even if you're rushed, you still have a good chance to land a header after turning around (speaking of R/S here).

meh, i am bad in argumentations in english... i cant point out what i'm trying to say.
nevertheless, i would like it to have a tiny tad slower rate of fire and a bit more of bink, to make it more controllable
