1.4.1 Problem

ugh... the directx thing worked for a couple days, but now somehow it went back to the old problem of shutting down when i try to enter a server.

I get this problem, and I've tried everything possible. Also tried checking force software in the setup, and it won't close anymore but will simply show a black window once you try to start or join a game. You can hear sounds, but no visuals. Only way out then is to press alt-f4.

Help?

OK guys... I had the same problem but i fixed it by myself

so my questions are:

1st do you get an error on start-up of ur system, which says that you need to close it immediately
2nd do you close something on start-up in the taskmanager?

I had the problem, that on start-up my svchost.exe was 100%. I had to close it that my computer is fine but i didnt hear any sound..
After that i opened Soldat, and it closed immediately.
So i knew that it was because i didnt hear sound..

If you have the same problem, go to start -> run -> type in "services.msc" -> scroll down to Windows Audio -> right klick with the mouse on it and choose start.

I think some of you might have problems on services.msc just try to start some applications there, maybe it will work

My Windows Audio is already started, and I don't get any errors on start-up, nor do I close something in taskmanager.

Sounds like a driver problem, you should update your audio drivers.
