« on: June 02, 2007, 08:27:27 pm »
Is it really total crap now? Seems everyone is saying it's so nerfed it has no place now, is this true?

I used to pick the HK MP5 alot when I played 1.3.1 .... but now I often avoid it entirely, and take any of the other weapons...

same goes for the steyr aug.

I don't understand what all the fuss about the HK-MP5.  I feel it has improved.  When I use it, it is easier for me to kill players than before.

But you if you don't enjoy the new HK-MP5, then resort to another weapon.

HK seems to be much better now... its owning me in maps that it never did before.

All of the weapons have their balances to them.  The HK-MP5 has an extremely high rate of fire and have decent amount of damage, but it has a very short range.  The recommendation to use the HK-MP5 is when you are in close combat, and it'll tend to do a lot of damage.

If you want far ranges, use the automatics such as the AK-74 or the M249.

The Steyr Aug is best for a large group enemies at a medium sized range.  The AK-74 and the M249 are the best weapons for large ranges.

The Barrett M82A1 is a realistic based sniper rifle.  It is the best weapons for extremely long ranges.  But for automatic weapons, the AK-74 and the M249 are the best.  That's what I was discussing.

I think we got your point, you don't have to reply it to every single post (besides, all your posts kinda look like they were copied straight from a wiki/FAQ/manual xD)

Overall, the MP5 has changed in style quite a bit, but its something one can get accostumed to...just wish the reload was a tad shorter again and I'd be all happy, but you can't have everything ;)

despite the changes, I really don't notice. I still kill with the same efficiency with the Hk from 1.3.1.

the minimi is the only auto you need in this version, since it is way better then the others.
