it means operating-system not "win-prog"   ;)
Maybe you just have to re-install soldat,or uptdating BattlEye.
EDIT// Be sure that you have the latest version of Soldat.

This is a known bug.

Go to your BattlEye directory, delete the BEClient_x86.dll file and manually rename the BEClient_x86.dll.new file to BEClient_x86.dll.

If you are too lazy to do this, use the following tool made by mar77a: http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=16274.msg200574#msg200574

Apparently this happens on Windows ME too. Someone from R/S running ME had the same problem, so I told him about the file renaming and it worked.

Yes, this is possible since ME is only slightly different from 98.

but my file doesnt say BEClient_X86.dll.new And I have updated the battle eye, mine just says what you told him to re name it to,and I still get kicked for battle eye violation:

Failed to update client name

Battle eye update successful

battle eye initialized

few minutes later..

"Lancet (my in game name) has been ping kicked for battle eye violation.

Wow, you mix up everything.

"Failed to update client name" - such a message doesnt exist, check again. Also, you are for sure not "ping kicked" by BE...

If it said "Failed to rename update file" and you have Win98/ME, there WILL be a .new file (in your BE folder!). However it might be necessary to disconnect right after you get that message, otherwise (on kick) the .new file might be corrupted.
