If going by the topic of this thread, human life is irrelevant, then what does it matter?

I could go out right now and kidnap some woman, bring her home, chain her up in my basement and force her to do depraved and unthinkable things. It wouldn't matter. Hers and my life is irrelevant in this 'grand-scheme' so they mean nothing.

You might say, "well that's evil, you're hurting her mentally and physically by doing that when you could easily choose not to and save her the hurt". But if everything is irrelevant then why does it matter. Her death is irrelevant in the same way a bug is irrelevant to the universe. Her pain amounts to nothing. Her life amounts to nothing. So if I have the power and incentive to carry out the crime then it doesn't matter if you do it.

If someone killed me horribly it would work in the same way, my life and theirs are irrelevant so it doesn't matter if he kills me and gets away with it.

The only thing that holds me back from doing anything I want is my humane nature and body. I'm filled with emotions and social constrictions. I choose to do things that make me happy because that's the way my brain is powered and I can't change that. Nothing more.

I actually talked to my very good mate about it today. We had this deep conversation about the meaning of life and all, and after maybe an hour of talking he goes: "Dude, I think you just have to do the best with what you've got, and not worry about any purpose. Looking for reason and purpose will get you nowhere, instead live out your life and enjoy it. What's the point of living if you allready know to what end you're heading?". Makes perfect sence, me thinks. In fact, no one could've set it better.

 The limitations of the practical understanding of life and the universe, metaphysical and theoretical realms that have spawned man into creation limit us to simply understanding that if what you have, what you want, what you are doing, what you are thinking or where you are going is alright by you, then thats just bloody peachy, isn't it?
