He isn't korean, he is asian. Korea isn't part of asia because it's the result of when satan and that guy in purgatory built a really poor 'hell on earth' because they were cracked out of their faces.

Dude, that shit is sort of sick. Its complete disconnection from reality i think. I mean, really. That sick. One of the players starts tearing up after his defeat in one. I mean professional video gaming is just like "fuck!" you spent your whole life mastering a  sport that isn't physical, its not even played with a game board. Its friggin virtual. Weird. I'll spend my time getting better at piano, chess and biology myself.

It's not sick.
Simply it is a new competition and new games.

You can say the same for chess or even sports.
Do you know that proffesional athletes are early getting old than normal people?
Too much effort destroys their body.

And why? A medal?

It's about politics. It's about your identity group. Like Olympic Games. Like soccer. That's because so many people watch them.
People like that.

Ignorant typical Americans...i love it.

Well did you also know that ever since they announced their research for nuclear weapons, the majority of the WORLD started putting restrictions and stopped trades with North Korea? that includes japan, America, South Korea...

It's no heaven there, but it's not as bad as you would think. same with Iraq, the news only show the chaos parts, a lot of their cities are actually quite nice and advanced. look it up and see for yourself.

I'm not a citizen of the United states, and you suck because the flood and drought happened in the early 90's just when good ol' Soviet Russia disbanded. I do believe this was before the nuclear program was anounced, I'm not to sure on this. North Korea is actually an isolated state.

They have to rely on foreign aid for food, otherwise they will have another famine.  That is pretty poor.  They also spend 20% of their money on military.

And the majority of the food we bring to them goes directly to the military.

Ignorant typical Americans...i love it.

Do you realize how ignorant that statement makes you look when the only people who've posted about Korea without talking about video games are all distinctly not American?  And I can't imagine you were talking about Dascoo...

hmm, but i meant 33 percent of their budget not bnp.
i dont know about korea but it certainly is not 20 percent of their bnp.
and in absolute numbers south korea spends nine times more

besides, 4 percent of the bnp of USA, that's like a ridicoulous amount of money... oO

Um...actually. Answer me this, which of the following feats is more difficult?

A) Go outside and run for 3 hours a day. (I'm not even including the other practices, but running is the general exercise for most sports.)

or

B) Sit in front of your computer for 12 hours playing a game.

The tremendous amounts of physical endurance and will make me respect most athletes to some point, while the nerds who spend 24 hours practicing on a 10 years old video game with no social lives deserves none.
Yes, those kids are considered celebrities in Korea. While me and my friends were watching the videos in school, one of our foreign exchange girl from Korea this year in our graphic design class saw the guy in it and went CRAZY....lol it was the funniest sight ever.
