Help with .pas files
« on: August 19, 2007, 11:55:44 am »
Alright, I just started scripting today. So yes, I'm probably the biggest noob ever.
For some reason, I can't change the file extension to .pas in Notepad or WordPad. It remains a Text Document.
It shows up in the name, but nothing in the File Type changes. So I'm kind of lost about what to do about it.
Help?

And rather off topic, but I do recommend you to get something better than Notepad in Windows. My editor of choice is Notepad++.

Just save file with "name.pas"

That's what I've been doing, and no result.

And I'll check it out, Toumaz, Thanks.

I find nothing wrong with notepad, which is what I use. :)

To the topic maker dude, you might have been saving it as a .pas.txt :P Try changing what your "save type as" to "all files" and then type the file name in with the .pas, see if that works.

You need to change the file type to "all files", otherwise it will append .txt, so you will end up with filename.pas.txt.
