File is corrupted! Please run a virus-scan...
« on: January 16, 2008, 04:04:35 pm »
Yeah, every time I try to run Soldat, this message occurs:
"File is corrupted! Please run a virus-scan and reinstall" or something.

It's really annoying since I scanned everything that can be scanned a gaYzillion times,
nothing was found. I reinstalled Soldat minimum 5-6 times.
I read that it was caused by a virus. Ye, I just caught one yesterday
and reinstalled C:

And would you believe that I have 2 more Soldat versions - 1.3.1 and 1.4.1 that show
the same message while trying to start?

Any ideas or should I just quit Soldat, after 2-3 hours trying to fix the thing?

What program are you using?   McFee has been known to call soldat a virus and I don't think its been fixed yet.

I tried AVG, Advanced Windows Care, VirusKeeper 2007 "Pro"...

My dad said the file itself was infected with virus by a hacker who broke into soldat.pl :D
He said "Polish crap" XD
I took a risk and downloaded it on his computer - it worked FINE.
The problem's on my system and right now I'm copying the most important files
to DVD disks... What can ya do? After that : Total Reinstall.
All that work for a set of bugs...

Edit: I've reinstalled the entire system. All works fine. Out.

For reference, that message is generated by Soldat itself when it detects that it's EXE has been modified. Meaning that you had a virus on your computer by the time you installed Soldat, which is why it works when you reinstalled everything.

Try to restart your computer after you install?
Also delete all remaining soldat folders.
Then install

You really need to read the entire topic before you reply; the problem was already solved, and it was solved with a reinstall of Windows.
