Have you ever had a moment when you think its all over, but somehow you survive? And the other person is just shocked because they thought you were dead for sure, and you just killed them? Or any kind of crazy survival moment?

Yes. On a map (don't remember the name of it but it's a default map) I was in the enemy base and the flag was there. I had maybe 10% health and thought "why not, go for it, I will die anyway". I went down to the flag, expecting to die at any moment but the whole opposing team missed me the whole time and I survived the whole way back to base, and scored.

It was a hella long time ago, but I remember surviving a total massacre of my team - everyone got killed in the frontal charge and I was the only one left, with about 5% health - and then grabbing the flag and taking the whole enemy team down. Four or five people, one by one. Something that happens once in a million games. =)

For me it's the other way around. I'm thinking I lived and think I'm still plating until I realize I'm just following my teammate. I don't know. I guess I get so involved, I ignore everything else like the red health bar or the big respawn timer.

This was WAAAAY back, about three years ago. I was in a Capture the Flag match and only had about half of my health. Realistic mode was on, and the dude next to the flag was looking the other way. I go up to get the flag and he turns around. He starts shooting at me, and I start shootin' at him. The amazing part is that I survived with so little health that you literally couldn't see my healthbar. I didn't make it back to my base, because right before putting in the flag, someone took ours and killed me. But that was still my most amazing moment.

This was a glitch methinks (or like UBER lag) but I was playing ctf_Ash, took a flag and was inches away from a CAP when 3 m79s hit me dead on. I got pushed back to the other side of the map (literally) by the blasts but I still had full health. So, I ran back CAP'd the flag and, here's the irony, right after I CAP'd, I died (no one shot me or anything, I just...died). Like I said, glitch, lag (though I was running around for 45 secs after the m79s) or just plain weirdness, I dunno. Like the topic said, this one is CRAZY (and weird, and unexplained, and abnor...)!

Needless to say, I did get kicked (if that makes you all feel better)...

I remember a moment like this in CTF

i dont remember the name of the map [its the one where theres a wood ramp next to the Flag ]

i had about 5% health and one M79 was flying over the flag and a sniper prone at it

i ran and jumped over the sniper [he shot n missed] and rolled with the flag into the health crate

the M79 killed the sniper i back fliped over the M79 and started to escape

and 3 members of the red team spawned and started shooting

[still boosted up by the back flip] i jet to the top behind the wall and away from fire then i go across to our side and over the wodden ramp and i score .

that was PURE luck i wish i could play like that all the time.

A lot of times I get blasted by M79's or nades, and I think I died but I'm still alive and the enemy is still chasing me. I die of course because it's surprising and catches me off-guard.

So yes but its very often the other way around.

I don't see how someone could think you are dead if there is no "You killed UR MOM LOL" message.

I remember running low through Equinox with my saw back in 1.3.1. I was on Alpha and I was going into Bravos side of the tunnel with my saw. There was literally at least 5 guys. I remember thinking LEEEEROY JEEENKINSSS to myself as I ran through. And amazingly I killed 4 of them with the saw and capping the flag back to my base. It was all luck on my part, how I massacred Bravo It's still a mystery how I did it by keeping myself alive.

Lol valor. My surprising moment was (cant remember map name, two siddes, the flags are on edge of little dips, teams spawn on islands above flags, 3 levels) that I was aiming for one particular little turd with my barret. He ducked a millisecond (quite literally) before the bullet rent his head from his shoulders. Instead of remodeling his face the bullet missed him and Passed through two of his teammates like a hot knife through butter. I have also had situations where I went "How the hell did I survive that?". one such was on Inf_Messner. Some guy binked me to serious hell while I had barret. He was a steyr sprayer. So I though that I was toast cause I already had the barret primed for a shot. Just before 'ole faithful went off he flew at point blank to the barrel and pointed his gun at me. The barret went off, filing a permenant devorce between his midriff and his abdomen. Right after that, with only 25% odd health left, I went on a bit of a socom rampage in a tunnel. I can go from Major to FLAB in 2.0 seconds

Actually earlier today I was at around 15% health with barrett and knife, I had my knife out already but I was being closed in on by 4 of the opposing team.. It was on ctf_lanubya.

3 of them started coming at me at the same time, the first one with Ak74, I threw the knife at him, killing him and his ak with 19 bullets in it fell into my hands and I turned and shot at one of the others killing him (he was at about 50% health already) then I switched to barrett and shot the other one. Then the other started coming for me and I threw my barrett and picked my knife back up, he came at me spraying with Desert Eagles but missed 4 times and I threw the knife and killed him before he got a chance to correct his aim. I then proceeded to storm the red base, feeling invincible when an m79 camper hiding in the bushes killed me.

I was playing survival mode and it was me and one other person. He was getting close (and I was almost dead) so I pulled out my law and proned. My soldat is all red so I looked like a corpse. The guy ran past me, I turned around and blew him up.

The only really crazy moment I could remember was knife-cutting (no throwing) 4 zombies in a row in our DZ server. You know, the |FA| Decaying Zombie one.

This isn't really a crazy story but more of endurance survival. This was in a public CTF on ctf_laos quite a while ago. I decided I was going to sit in the bottom and hold it for as long as possible. Well, I think I held the bottom for almost the entire round, I believe I died once, but I got back down there before anyone got through.

This was before throwing knives, so I was stuck with a socom.

inf. flag stolen. just like any of u, RUNNIN AFTER THE FLAG. inf moonshine...6 redV4blue(im blue) i just spawned and realised...0.o out flag is gone! 2 alphas are in our base hopping around the flag waiting.i see the EFC at the end of my screen and chooses the AK-47 as my primary weapon. as almost all of the reds are using barretts(i dont mind, i usually use em) and are not bad...except for 2 of em. so..those two ppl in out base try to shoot me over the cover im taking. i surprise them and charge out with my reloaded trusty AK. they fall dead as i reloaded quickly. to my surprise, two idiots were fighting over a sniping spot leading to our flag( the first hut before the bridge) apparently they didnt see me at all and i shot them to pieces b4 moving. i get to the bottom of the hill where most of the action was taking place. most of my team mates were there trying their hardest to get the flag back and even the teams. i fire, fire, fire,fire, kills 1 more,switched to knife as my ak-47 was out of bullets. he falled dead in front of me. the EFC was just jumping and i was the only man able to stop him, all my teammates were killed.i throw my half reloaded AK-47, pick up the dead guy's Barrett and my old knife. the efc saw me, and took cover behind.i had a clear shot and he was not taking any chances. he hovers in mid air, waiting for spawn. his friend finally spawns and i knife him the moment he stop being invulerable. he seizes the chance and try to cap. with a boosted m79 from my respawned friends, i flew like lighting and shot the EFC's head. his head blew off like when you open a wine bottle and my friends recovered the flag( i flew off the map as i was too busy talking about it or caring)

5v5 CTF_death (the small map which looked like a C lying down). My whole team is dead as they were random noobs. Other team was had 4 of their members out of 5 being part of one of the best at the time and one random. I had about 15 percent hp left and i ran to base for nades. I had barret and knife and as they can, I Jumped out and sniped one guy, spammed my nades, got at triple kill, by then baz had loaded again, shot, another dead, last guy, knife. GG. Didn't take any damage.

u had a barrett and a knife. where did that baz come from

Mine was when I had the flag in Inf_Outpost, collected a flamer, then out of no where an m79 curved and nailed my straight in the head, I looked down at my health. It was completely gone but I still had Flame God on. So I continued running for about another 2 seconds when it ran out. Then suddenly, a guy who was hiding near our base popped out and started spraying my arse with bullets. Not even trying to dodge them, I continued running normally knowing I'd die anyway. Amazingly, not a single bullet hit me, it was crazy. I felt like I was invincible for the rest of the day

Just a day or so ago I popped into Elite Snipe n Slice after a 3-week TW-only diet. Normally I got Bassaulted pretty badly by the regulars there but to my amazement I wasn't doing that poorly. I think it was Maya 2 or something (they all have the same map format anyways) and I was on Alpha. I ran through the top, grabbed the blue flag, and kept running, tumbling down the tunnels on the bottom. One of the regulars there follows me, chucks a knife at me and (wow?) misses for once, so he starts chasing me with his Barrett, and I'm like, uh sh^t, gotta take evasive action! So I jump up, prone down, and I do that about 2 times, and all the while my speed goes down the drain. I jumped up one last time and switch to my Chainsaw for a confrontation, but the guy overshoots right below me, and I belly-flopped him with my chainsaw.

Somehow I ended the match there with 4/5 flag caps, 1rst place and 1 death, all in less than 10 minutes. Where's F8 when you need it?
