age difference in relationships
« on: June 14, 2007, 01:13:21 am »
is it me or do the rest of you guys/girls/other (which i highly doubt play soldat same for girls) look at relationship age differences as really weird and kinda gross.  my neighbors dad is 69 and his wife is 50. and their son is my bff (yes i say that.........) im no trying to be a flaming nut juggler (F.N.J) (aka an asshole) but what do you guys think about?. i know this is kind of a weird topic but i wanted to start a "conversation". IM NOT TRYING TO MAKE A LAW (not the gun i mean like an amendment or something) against it just i think its weird.......think about it. he could have been in his freshman/sophomore year in college (freshman is first year and sophomore is second)  AND SHE MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN EVEN BORN YET.

It really depends on the age group. Obviously, a 16 year old girl with a 19 year old guy is pretty much statutory rape, but the same difference in an older group is perfectly acceptable. (A 27 year old guy and a 24 year old girl.)

I'd rather be with someone of precisely the same age as me.

But it always seems that girls my age like older guys... plus I'm continually finding myself going out with girls 2 years younger than me, much like my present girlfriend.

depends what age, if you like 22 and your g/f is 13 then you got issues...but when your 52 and girl/wife is 43 then i'm okay with it
(like Twistkill said..)

i prefer the same age or a year younger/older then myself, so you can understand eachother better..

Yeah exactly. I guess that's because when you're still young it's much more of an issue, like with the borderlines of rape and peadophilia. But it gets really stupid sometimes. I think guys are generally more laid back about age differences. I mean my girlfriend keepsgoing on about how shes so much maturer than me cause shes about 4 months older than me -_- It's not like it makes any difference or like I care hahaha. I suppose it's an issue to her but thats women for you >.>

I know a girl who is 19 and married to someone who's about 35. She is very happy in the relationship, though I wonder how it'll work out when he turns 50 and she's 34, and then some years later she'll live as a widow for longer.  :-\

But I understand 11 year old girls so well...

I see no problem with dating a girl who is 1-2 maybe sometimes even 3 years younger than you. I think as far as older girls are concerned...I like 'em with some experience.

age is just a guideline... it's the maturity and ripeness you should be questioning...

Oh I see, you have to make sure it's well rounded and check inside to see if it's juicy and moist. Gotcha.

I'm almost sixteen, and my girlfriend is nearly fourteen. I'm immature (socially, my friends generally say I'm intellectually more mature), and she's mature (socially and a year or so intellectually), so it works out.

Pay no attention to the fact that she's eleven inches shorter than me.

The ultimate age equation:

Guys age halved... plus 7 years.

Guy - Girl
14 - 14
15 - 14/15
16 - 15
17 - 15/16
18 - 16
19 - 16/17
20 - 17
21 - 17/18
22 - 18

It doesn't really work after 25 because the age gap gets a little too big...

30 - 23
40 - 27
50 - 33
60 - 37
