I'm more confused than insulted. And should I have become slightly aroused at your statement? I must investigate more....

Those were pictures from my `07 field work in Washington state.  One of the most beautiful parts of the country I've ever been to, and I can't wait to go back sometime.

I have hundreds of pictures from that summer.  If anyone wants to seem them, I'd be glad to put upload some of them.

Ooh please tell where exactly or post pictures. I live in Washington, and love this kind of place.

And btw I'm going backpacking in the Tetons some time in July, that should be cool.

Meh. I grew up going to ross lake (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ross_Lake) every summer, so I love it here. I guess I've never been to NY so I can't really speak for them.

Edit: Lol obviously cascades, but where in them?

Sure thing!

The closest town would be Leavenworth, but I did my field work around Lake Wenatchee.  Specifically on Wenatchee Ridge, which is just to the north.  There are a number of forest access roads which are open to use any time you want to go up there and see for yourself.  Since you live out there, if you want more specific directions feel free to hit me up with a PM and I'll do my best.

Here are a few additional pictures as well.

And Bond, it's not near Rainier.  Nice try though.  The hiking was hell from the mosquitoes, but other than that I loved every bit of it.  Although the heat around Entiat was hellish...

Ooooh I've been mountain biking several times there. Good stuff.
Anyhoo I dug through my emails and found a gem of my past... 1999, when I was 8 years old, I became the youngest person ever to reach the top of Desolation Peak. (begin epic music)
I'm the awesome one in the front, the mountain in the back is Hozomeen...

Ha...you don't look too happy.

The farthest north I went was a backpacking trip along the Chiwawa river in the Glacier Peak wilderness area.  Got some awesome picture from there as well.

Hmm.. Looks like both of ye are trekking along the west. I live in the Tri-Cities so I'm around dumpy Spokane and Yakima. But I've (my family) has driven along the west coast and it iis lovely. We passed by Ross Lake too. See the little road in the Wiki pic: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/bf/Ross_Dam_USACE_20031022.jpg.

And damn when it's not cloudy, and raining shat in Seattle, chilling on the pier next to Pike's Place is
:o better than anywhere I've been in NY. :o

Still I like the mountains in NY better :)
