Hmm..in your case, I'd go with parting the bangs and showing some forehead after getting a little more length to the hair.  Not telling you to become a long hair or anything, but the horizontal cut on the bangs across the forehead just doesn't look good. 

Trust me on this - I had bowl cuts and buzz cuts for years.  Fortunately, none of you will ever get a picture of it.  :D

Meh, I do it the easy way... Keep my hair combed back, let it grow for a year or so before having it cut short and sideburns at all times..

I've wanted to do that forever, but my dad's always like "that looks like shit" and drags me down to Great Clips for a $6 special to "fix" it, which gives me what I have now.

Just grow your hair out and see what you have to work with. It gives you a period of nasty-ugly hairs but then at least you can do awesome stuff with it.

Or you could always come over to Olympia to have Buddhists cut your hair. But then again, the guy really screwed with my hair last time. Wasn't bad for 10 bucks though.

I must say jrgp, it looks like we have the same type of hair. Well, at least when I comb my crop out.
