It's not Soldat that's dying out. It's the triple A games that are too much alive in comparison, giving the exaggerated image of a thriving game to the current generation. Soldat is still very much alive considering its over 10 years old indie game supported by pocket money and sheer dedication, there's more community made content in Soldat than in any other 2D shooter, topping even some triple A titles and best of all it still keeps coming. If you want the community to be less catatonic, you just have to be involved in it, more than ever. It won't magically fix itself.
