I used to have hell long hair like n00bface and Dascoo, then I grew out of that phase and currently rep a nice grade 0 shave. So much cleaner and convenient, plus it's real nice to rub my head after a shave. extremely short/No hair > Long hair.

I find it hard to believe that you had hair as long as I do now.

It is past mid-back length now, and at the average growth rate of 6 inches per year, that means a timespan of around or beyond 3 years to grow from a buzz cut. It's not so much that I don't think you couldn't ever take the time to grow it that long, just that you haven't. It is impossible for someone to be so indifferent to a drastic stylistic change after putting care and dedication into growing something for that long. And what's more, you've played it off as a phase that one 'grows out of'. Anybody, man or woman, who has grown their hair this long, knows that the time it takes to get hair this long is hardly a kind of dedication somebody puts in to a 'phase'. It is ridiculous to group men with long hair into one single clique of people. There have been hundreds of leaders throughout history who have been notorious for long hair- it has always been seen as a sign of health and prosperity. Long hair is as much a part of my spirituality as it is to the Sikhs, and it's just as big a part of my heritage as it is to the Native Americans.

Long hair is not better than short hair, and short hair is not better than long hair. It is always relative to one's situation. And right now, I'm definitely enjoying having my head warm, and it's also a relief to keep it cool in the summer. Long hair is only an inconvenience if you allow yourself to believe it is, but it always has its pros too.

And I believe that I look much better with long hair than I do with short hair. Regardless, long hair tied back can look very neat also, so the argument about it getting tangled in the wind is very lost with me.

I remember when I had long hair I was biased towards long hair. Now that I have short hair, I preach for short hair.
