A little bump to this thread, because something really ironic happened with me today.
I went to a server of two players and they immediately told me to "get out or spec". So I thought, what the hell, I'll spectate and throw comments at them because it usually unnerves me when I'm told to "get out" instead of being kindly requested to leave. 
So I watched the duel for a while and noticed that they actually weren't very good though both of them had clan tags in front of their player names (it might have been HELL, I think?), so I said: "You are such noobs" in a rather playful manner. 
A few moments later, one of the guys started spectating and I was thrown into the game with the other player telling me "1on1 then!" - well, he obviously wanted to prove that he is not a noob. Yea, you guessed it, I miserably failed. 
He used Ruger all the time and had an incredible aim, even with a knife he killed me once. So after I had tried all the guns I can handle and ending up with about five deaths and zero kills, I said "ok nvm" and left the server, fearing the laughter that would have definitely followed. Gosh.. I'll never go into a 2-player server again!

I am good on things like 5v5, but I fail at 1v1, I don't know why...
I can get first on 5v5 and up, but if I play 1v1 I loose BAD.

Ha, you probably shouldn't have gone into a 1-on-1 cold against someone who clearly had been practicing.

1v1s and 5v5s play entirely different, in bigger games you have distractions, and other targets besides yourself. 1v1s its only you and him, so there are no distractions, other than the ones you create. people can be awesome in 1v1s, and suck in 3v3s (ive seen it happen, there is this one guy that almost never loses 1v1s, but you stick him in a gather or clan war, and he fails miserably.)

I think that the main difference between 1x1 and for eg. 5x5 is that on 1x1 you don't have to worry about flag....you can concentrate on enemy and if you kill him, then it's 99% you'll leave its base safely with flag..but on 5x5 if you kill one enemy..you have to be aware and quickly grab flag and run because you could face other 4.

And something ironic on soldat? I think its funny when a players really is good at something. But then suddenly he gets killed many times, sends everybody with a big "F" word and leaves. Another situation is when a player joins game, i kill him in a, well lets say, funny/lucky/impossible/pro way and he instantly leaves the game, even other players can't say "hello" before he leaves.

I usually do best in smaller team games. Not 1 on 1, but not like 8 on 8 either, I usually like to play 4 on 4 or so. I also like to play deathmatch with a moderate amount of people (like 6 to . Too many and it gets too hectic for me and I die too much, too few and I get pwned.

i like small matches...like 3V3 inf.thats the best, or CTF. i aviod ctf cause its always autos and m79, and though what soldat is meant for- which is fast pace dying and shooting, i like a tactiful match, which u cant just rush and come out alive, and a bit lag also. so inf is for me.

i guess in 3v3 and 5v5 I'm used to being jumped any second
but in 1v1 there is so much space and well there are more places to hide

^ I believe he means when 2 people are chasing him, he sometimes shoots in between them, causing his death instead of theirs. His sentences seem quite jumbled.

That happens to me too, not that often with 2, but when I see like 3 guys rushing at me at the same time I get confused and don't know which one to shoot, and I end up just shooting in the air and whereever and die -.-

Don't think that would really be called ironic though, or is it?

I highly prefer 2v2s with my best buddy. We are pretty unstoppable, at least from the pubs we have played in.

Again, we are veering off topic.

It's very ironic on my cause I usually took all of my friends kills xD. But now recently, he started using Ruger and he takes all of mine.
