I'd like to know something. I'm not trying to flame, just asking a question...Why is everyone so out to get snipers?? It's a perfectly fair tactic (At least it used to be, until trigger delay was added). Many people in real life use it. The sniper is kept fair by a long reload time, long enough for anyone to make a kill. It's called tactics, and people don't seem to get it...

So, I'd like to hear some kind of logical, reasonable argument that isn't "FUCK U N00B!!!!1"

Not that many people are out to get it. People like to blame things for their own mistakes, even in small games. It's really not that big of deal, I suggest on playing on better servers like u13 so there isn't as many of these kinds around.

I think it's funny, when I started years ago (1.2.1), I was getting called a noob for using automatics, and I hadn't seen snipers getting flamed, so I decided to be one...And now You can't make a kill with a barret without being bitched at. If you run in, you're a barretard. If you camp close enough to make it more even, you're a camper. If you actually snipe, you get kicked half the time.

People hate the sniper because it is a sniper. It kills in one shot, and it can kill from a long distance. In every game I've ever played the 1-hit killers are the biggest attacked guns.

People who flame snipers have nothing better to do. I just realize that its not their fault for camping to shoot. I never seen one that runs-and-guns with a barret (I admit that I do), because its almost illogical and sometimes difficult.

Wow, you guys are a lot better...I remember when I came on this forum a couple years ago, everyone was an asshole towards any barret users...I think now that the barret has been unfair and unrealistic with the delays and what not, people are more laid back, though it's still the first plus I've seen to the changes.

eh, the rett has been hurt so much in these versions that it actually is challenging to use well, so people are giving it and its users the respect they deserve.

It really sucks for me because I'm the type to have perfect aim right away, but I can't hold it. So to have to keep my aim while sitting and holding the trigger, ridiculous. I used to be like a god with that thing...Although I can still run pretty well with it. They tried to stop people running and make people sit and snipe, but it's had a reverse affect.

Eh, I've found the best way to run and gun with it is... when I see the enemy thats when I jump, about halfway up I hit the trigger, and it I timed it right I'll fire just as I hit the top of my jump.

Actually there have been times where it has taken a sniper two shots to kill me due to the fact that the bullet proof vest makes all the difference seriously, providing that it's not a headshot. Try it sometimes, I would suggest it.

From full health with a fully charged vest to no vest and 50 percent of your life.

If ya wanna run and gun, best to use is the Ruger, especially on a packed map. Since everyones getting shot at, most peeps are gonna be lacking health and usually you can own the ones with low health with one shot easily.

Being a sniper, unless you have really good aim and timing, you have to camp. I like having snipers in a map anyway. It's nice to have that extra help guarding the flag. I find it more challenging with good enemy snipers. When you find them finally hidden in a bush or camo somewhere, death is sweet when ya give em a good sawblade up the spine.

I think it's more because the one-hit-kill way of dieing can get annoying, rather than because they're not "pro" enough to use it. Indeed, sometimes when I come across the sort of cocky snipers that say "OMG noob auto", I just switch to the Barrett and 'pwn' them with that.
