Cant wait for the next game :)

And I totally agree that 2D games are nicer to use than 3D. Mainly for modding purposes but also cause my computer is ancient.

He never said that the new game was not to be 3D even if it's sprite it can be 3D or some part of it at lesse.

And that's for MM:

Good luck with the new project.

CG was the only hope to get members on my clan and my plan is dead with CG :(

Hearing that the Crimson Glory project is coming to an end certainly disappoints me since I was really looking forward to it.
However, your mention of your next planned project brought my spirits up again!

Hmm. I was thinking about graphics that wrap them selves around the model, like in Warcraft III. You can download an editor that strips the skins from the models, and flattens them, allowing you to edit them like you would any flat image.

Wow nice.

I didn't really mind CG being 3D but now that I think about it, the amount of work which needs to be put in to create a 3D map compared to a 2D one probably isn't worth it. Especially when the game is viewed from a side-on perspective. It would probably also deter a large amount of the community here who are comfortable, familiar and some, very skilled with 2D graphics. As many have seen, with tools such as Polyworks we can get maps to almost look 3D anyway.

Great work MM, I love how you support the community so strongly and put your best into your games.

Well, at least we will get CG, just not finished.
And, as this version won't have net code, will the source be released?

Great to hear that a new Soldat is coming out with more bug fixes. I don't think we really needed those extra features except the Anti-Cheat though.

Thanks Michal. Glad to know Soldat will get a fix soon. Too bad for CG.
Keep it up.

Will there be vehicles?

haha, seriously though, I do wish CG would have been continued.. I loved letting my imagination let loose with how fast paced 6v6 dog fighting can be.. But I guess if the next game you say will be better, then I wholly agree on your choice.

*self Snip*

i am an idiot :-[
Your acting like your having a duel and your opponent gets a pistol and you get a spork.
Isn't that pretty much what it is? I dunno wtf a spork is, I suppose it's way weaker than the pistol since you compared that to this.

99% of the work that was done on the very awesome CG site can be saved and used as the site for the other game very easily

wow I can easily say I am surprised. Will the new game feature ground combat like Soldat...or something else? Or am I asking for too much information?

Whatever it is this news is very good, keep up the good work MM!

FLAB I'm not sure I don't think he will release the source because he uses some part of the engine for his new game so maybe he don't want other people to have the code of that project.
