I have two names in super smash melee.. i have played this game forever.. ask Chakra.. its the only game i talk about...

Im not rated that high in world.. but im up there.. some people say i have the best samus... but... i still have to admit wes.. is freaking awesome

He has a point there. To still show some skill in a battle, set items to only ones that you chuck around. Like fans, capsules, barrel, crates, barrel cannon, etc., etc.,...

The idea is that someone can be getting their ass raped by someone with much more skill, but then they just happen to get a good item that changes everything around.  For instance, they might get a pokeball with a pokemon in it that absolutely slaughters their opponent -- they haven't done anything other than throw an item and the game does all the work for them.

Yeah, but KOing a person from across the DreamLand stage with a capsule takes some skill, and knowing when your enemy will use the recovery move.

Captain falcon's smash attacks have weakened and he has gotten slower since the n64 version. I'll stick to the classic for now.

I can KO a level 9 CPU enemy with captain falcon without using specials on the n64 version.

some capsules are explosive ect..

its just tournament rules to have no items
