Port fowarding messed up my router?

Would it be possible that fowarding ports could've caused problems with my wireless network? I'm asking this, because my laptop can't connect to my wireless network. I was trying to foward the ports required for the dedicated server yesterday but they never worked and now I'm having this problem. I have a feeling it has something to do with the port fowarding because I have never had this kind of problem before on my laptop. Please answer my question as soon as possible because if I don't sort out this problem, I might not be able to use internet on my laptop at all.

Portforward shouldn't/couldn't have messed it up for you because it only opens ports that are blocked normally by the router.

What kind of wireless network are you using WEP or WAP with passwords? Or even with MAC addresses? Are you sure you didn't change the pass for the network or so,thing like that?

The router is a 2Wire model number 2701HG-B. I believe the wireless network is a WAP that's passworded. I'll probably get my dad to check on it and figure out the actual problem. Thanks for clearing up that it's probably not what I did yesterday that caused the problem. I believe all I did was foward the required ports for a dedicated server.

Could it be possible that dedicated servers can't be operated wirelessly and that messed up my computer?

No.

The only problem you can have with operating a dedicated server over a wireless connection, is that you will often get connection dropouts, due to the nature of wireless connections. Said connection dropouts will not affect other computers.

I've done a lot of port forwarding through 2wire devices, including the one you're using.  No problems are caused, you must have changed something else by accident.

When I tried to forward my port I almost crashed my computer...
So I am fine just joining servers...
