Getting GameArena to attempt that is going to be very ******* difficult.

EDIT: How about this solution. If someone gets kicked 3 times during any 24 hour period, they get a perm ban?

BE should specify to the server what kind of kick it is, so I can make BEBanTime only apply to bans for cheating.

As I told you, the best non-static solution is for BE to handle banning on its own in the future. External Soldat variables such as BEBanTime make things somehow static and are not under BE's control.
Also, the IP banning can be circumvented easily if the cheater has an appropriate connection and really wants to come back to the server...

Yeah, battleye banned few players on my server! Hurray! Too bad they weren't cheating...

That happens because the player hasn't updated to the new BattlEye posted in this topic.

I have updated the DLL's and whatever was in the zip folder to my C:\Soldat folder.
I still get booted for my client not responding?

On extraction, did it tell you that it overwrote the old files? If not, something went wrong.

Did I ever have them to begin with? It's supposed to be in the SOLDAT folder, right? No subfolders?
If so, I had no past files there.

There is a BattlEye folder and a version.txt in your Soldat folder. Overwrite them - is it so hard?

I dont know, if you have 1.4.1, you should have it (next to other folders like Maps, Weapons-gfx, etc.) - otherwise you deleted it or your installation failed (very unlikely).

Does it work now?

Ive been trying to get this thing downloaed to close to 15 minutes now and everytime I have come out unsuccessful. I am not exactly 100% computer literate, but I know enough to get myself around. Even with that, I have not been able to download this freaking thing, and most servers now kick me because I do not have it.

1) Could someone explain how.... in a sense that your talking to an absolute retard-because that is how I come up with computers

2) Is this REALLY worth all the aggrivation and p[otentially lost customers??

I'll try:

1. Download http://static.soldat.pl/downloads/BattlEye.zip
2. Extract ALL of its contents to C:\Soldat (or wherever you installed it) - if you chose the right directory it will ask you to overwrite the old files - do so.
3. Start Soldat and the update info box should no longer come up.
