DirectX problem

eleven days ago i tried out soldat, it did not work for non-fullscreen so i tried full screen and it worked, seven days ago i tried downloading DirectX 8.1 and then it worked in non-fullscreen, the day after it didn't anymore so i went back to using fullscreen and then i found out Windows XP comes with directX 9,this is where i got really confused, yesterday i had to re-install windows xp and now it doesn't work in fullscreen or windowed, whats going on? :-\

Most likely a driver issue for your videocard.

Soldat didn't work in fullscreen or windowed untill i ticked the compatibly mode and force software box. Also try updating your video/graphics card drivers
