What's on my mind now... With a combat knife, you throw it, it's got the range of maybe an M79, it's not a guaranteed kill, and you have to retreive it. But, with a barret, you charge in and blow everyone's head off every time you fire a shot! Balanced weaponry? I think not.

With a barret you get 1 shot per around 15 seconds to kill, someone with a mp5 could charge in for the kill.

15 seconds? try 5 seconds... check the weapons.ini file... barret reload time is 300 clicks (60 clicks = 1 second).

But the knife is a SECONDARY. the barret is a primary. primarys are ment to be better than secondarys. Secondarys are ment to be used when your primarys can't do the job.

Whoever said the knife was a n00b weapon deserves to be shot.

It's really great, and it's funny to fly above a gang of players and just throw down the knife and see if you hit anybody ^__^;

Um... yeah, they're called Primary weapons for a reason... and have you ever tried using the barrett? I used to go "OMGZ BARRET ASSHOLE" until I actually started using the weapon. Now it's my primary of choice on ctf_run. I've only been using it 2 weeks and someone said "Imo, Barrett takes less skill than m79, (Which REALLY pissed me off until he said) but, Twist, props for being a good sniper." <3 There are people better thaan me.

- Every gun can be nooby according to some people (who are usually the noobs) if the gun pwns them, its a noob gun, if the guns 1 hit, its a noob gun. Its as simple as that in they're world (this is what most people think)

no weapon is for a noob.. some people are just better with weapons than others.. and decide to master it.. if someone is really good with the ak they could take someone that is just decent with another weapon easily.. -_-

thats one combo i never specifically use.

when ever using a barret i either have a law if i miss or a soccom.

if i did use that and had a reloading barret, *punches*

I don't think there really is a n00b weapon. The word n00b or newb or what ever the hell way you want to spell it, is used to describe a person that is new to the game.. But if you've been playing for many years ( I asume most people in the forums site) and you kill someone with a one shot kill weapon and the result of doing so are named a "n00b" obviously is a pointless insult that technicle can't effect you because of years of experience can't have the tittle of a new comer.

As for the knife NO it is not a n00b weapon because if you miss.. unless you got something else to shoot or throw.. no chance.. The knife like all other weapons takes skill and judgment to throw and if you hit someone at a long distance or a difficult shot. I beleive should be notified for a ns. If you disagree try avoiding the knife when it is thrown I tend to do a backflip for quick escape but cause of my ping I am died before I get the chance lmao.

The only weapon I count as a n00b weapons is if they have a Barret and just sit there sniping. I thinks that's just a wimpy approach to soldat and something an unseasoned player would to try and make the game "easier" or something. (However, it's pretty substantial, like if there using the Barret as back-up or defense, that makes sense)
I remember that was the first weapon I used, and after getting in touch with my "Mp5" side, I realized that soldat is much funnier that way

If you are better than somebody, then the weapon you're using is a noob weapon. That's just the way it goes, unless you're playing with somebody with at least half a brain.
