Thats your problem. DX2 sucked ass.

DX wasn't a "political novel," as you keep saying. The story was heavily influenced by what you do. I'd like to read a policial novel like that.
If it existed.

I played BOTH! I can get you a novel like that, its often meant for little kids. Create your own adventure books are everywhere too, they suck as well.

And fine, Mario is the best game ever.

Timesplitters 2 & 3 are kickass. May be outnumbered, but never outgunned.

Hotel Dusk for the DS has a nice story, though gameplay is tedious at times.

Jazz Jackrabbit is t3h arcade game.

@Kryp -- go buy some skills. use /command to bring up the commands.

Mafia had some bugs and stuff, but it was a great game. I'm not saying the best, but it was great...

i would say GTA San Andreas was perfect if it had:

1. real life system (eating, sleeping etc but more real than now)
2. more optimized graphics
3. realistic physics ( no more flying 500 metres with a truck)
4. more realistic storyline/missions
5. limited carry capacity
6. a chance that you get beaten up by some guy, rather than yu killing hundreds of people with bare hands
7. more flexible AI with some situations (like they would throw rocks at you and run away if you're chasing them with a chainsaw)
8. more realistic damage system

basically, I would just like everything to be more real. Hope that will be the case in GTAIV.
There will be a balkanian guy, but from the trailers I've seen they're stereotyping balkan as some illiterate, crazy slave trading fools...

You don't want to make a game too complicated or realistic. It just ruins the game.

To me AI is really important. Half the games are pathetic because their AI is pathetic.

A game must not be stressful to play, ie: no over complicated routes or puzzles to solve.

Open play, like farcry. Choose whatever route you want.

and the all important X-factor.

the x factor is what makes the game stand out from the rest, an unknown appeal the game brings.
