Meditation is the safest way to transition your astral projection over to a different dimension where dreams live, so you can find the answer you are searching for, if subconsciously.

I can only describe sensations and such as my experiences, which may be very limiting and not much helpful to an observer.

Oh, I wasn't looking to you guys to tell me about it.  I'm talking about books, movies, etc.  The kind of information that's been fermenting for more than 20 years, you know?
