Server-side enable/disable voting
« on: June 28, 2007, 01:59:21 pm »
Because of the major advances in abilities with the pascal scripting on Soldat dedicated servers, we can implement our own voting systems, possibly 'better' (in eyes of some people) or more unique or more fit for a specific server.
In Soldat.ini having a Allow_Map_Vote and Allow_Kick_Vote setting to 1 or 0 (allow, or disallow) would be very sweet!
Doubtful that it will ever be implemented, but I would be very happy if it is.

Disable kick vote isn't very usefull. If it's a public server someone will eventually need to kick some player, and if it's a private server.. well, i don't think players would use vote kick.

I would suggest that rather a Allow_Map_Vote flag, it had a Map_Vote_Time, to set the minimun time you have to wait to be able to vote. If you set it to -1 it would just be disallowed.

Anyhow, i can't think of this being actually usefull.

Why do you suggest this? Do you need it for making some script in your server?

couldn't u just set the required % for vote to go through to 110% ?  I typed that in with ARSSE and it seemed to have gone through.  So I assumed that it wasn't possible to vote after that...
Can't think of anything original to put here...
