ok not to be rude... but all this game is is a big rock and white water with a plane that barely can get up from the water... i see no enemies, the menu is fucked up and i cant do anything else than fly around an island... it probably will be good if this is just a test to show the games graphics and how its built up... so if u can make it a "game" it would be great.... but the way it is on my computer, its crap... :/ sorry to disappoint u..

It's incomplete, and he isn't working on it any more. Unless you want to learn the coding, scripting and everything, and complete it yourself when (if) the source is released, feel free, but until then, be glad that you got anything at all.

well... if thats the case, i'm not really a game maker -.- and i'm glad that he finally managed to actually finish something at all... But i wouldn't really like to publish an unfinished game for so to just get bad critics... but now as its done, i wish u good luck with this game :P

How hard can it be to understand.. He will not continue working on CG, thats why he released it, se those who wanted could see what he had made.. We all knew he was working on it.
Hope the source gets released.

I think it looks great :) Good work MM.

I think he meant that he's glad that MM made this much progress instead of getting bogged down with other stuff

I'm glad you discontinued this. 2D would of suited it a lot better, it just doesn't look right in 3D. Hopefully whatever you're making after this will be pure awesomeness like Soldat.

My hat off to EH for the very sexy download page.  The rest of the website he was working on for CG looked just like that, except bigger and much ... extremely nice.

I 2nd

I guess I never realized that it was going to be a 3D side scroller. I really like the feel of it and its a shame you don't want to continue it. On the other hand its understandable, your fan base does like ms paint a little too much.
So I propose some sort of compromise. How about layering the scenery, foreground, mid-foreground, player depth, mid-background, and background. The player would only interact with the player level objects but the rest would move at their respective speeds as you walk.

I agree. Adding a 3D aspect to your games destroys the general style of your creations. I believe the concept of Crimson Glory is great and should definitely be a part of your next project, I just hope it's 2D.

Good luck with everything.

Do you people even read anything at all in the thread before posting in it? That's two people now who have completely missed the point of this release. He had not really come close at all to releasing a fully playable of CG, so he decided to put this out to prove that he was in fact working on it. Also, just to show what stuff he had put into it, and I assume the source is coming later.

Damn you people to hell, learn to read.

After all this waiting, and anticipation for the game...

For one thing, this game doesnt work on my computer at all, its just completely not working right. i cant even see the plane!!

anywho, that was really a wait for nothing. After all that, it just turns out MM doesnt wanna do it anymore.

Im sad, i really thought this could of been something. This is why i want to learn programming, so i could make this game go platnum.

O well, thanks for nothing (or w.e that is) and i hope you keep on improving soldat.

A few people posted a few screenshots.

I'm suffering from the same problem as you are 2big4u. :'(
Although it looks great, it's not a really big deal... There still is Soldat and R right?

* DarkNoddy needs to blow off some steam.

When I read posts like some of those in this thread, I get rather pissed off to be honest.
Making games or programming fairly advanced things, is a process that takes alot of time. And if you find out, hey, this isnt something that I really want to do anymore, then people should respect that, ie. if you really hate a sport, how would you feel if someone started whining if you didnt practice to get better at it everyday? (not a superb example but you get the picture)

Dont get me wrong, I would like to see CG completed, but I have done some programming and such myself and I know how sad it is, after wasting a fuckloads of hours or even days on making something, for someone, absolutely free, in your own spare time, and all you get is whine if there is a minor flaw etc. So I know how shitty it makes you feel.

I think what CG is at this stage is very nice, hopefully he will release the source at a later point so someone else can perhaps complete the game.

Be glad he even wanted to share this with us. (he said himself he normally doesnt release games before they atleast have some form of gameplay)

One last thing: I'm not saying there is anything wrong with saying one is disaponted that the game is abondoned, but one can say it in other ways then "OMG! This is shit"
