Actually, I was hoping he would either replace banana.bmp with a more biased texture, or adopt Arena-style coloring/shading

That's the whole point of this thread. I'm asking what should I do with it. What texture, or the theme. And also for this time, I'm trying not to make a map of default quality. I want to make something "spectacular".

I've did a lot of updates to this map. I've changed the texture, added a background color, and added scenery.

Well, if you add green grasses to the top of those platforms, it can become a oasis to match the desert-like texture.

I hate that map "htf_Desert". If I had the power, I'd remove it myself and replace it with a better map.

I just hope you would replace it with something other then this.
I can't even consider playing this, it seems unstructured which would make in unenjoyable.
You've made alot of progress with those three platforms, BUT three platforms only get you so far.
I suggest you draw out your mapping plan before you start, so you've got a basic layout.
There isnt nearly enough cover for people who spawn, spawnkilling will be a main way of geting kills.
There needs to be caves ect. things to make it harder for someone to jet across the map in one go and kill people who have just spawned.

But otherwise its good for a Deathmatch or team deathmatch but i could only imagine 2vs2 or 4vs4 but no higher.

Hold the Flag maps tend to be that way. There can be plenty of spawning, but the spawn points tend to be the most important thing in the Hold the Flag gamemode besides the layout.

That's only because the original HTF maps portrayed the gamemode incorrectly. You play it now, with my works htf_Baire and htf_Zajacz. I'm seriously not trying to be arrogant but they really are what HTF maps truly should have resembled. It just totally crushed me to witness no HTF servers whatsoever upon v1.4's release

It will most likely stay that way aswell.
It's the same with rambo and TDM and even DM. Every server is now CTF.
What i would do for a decent Rambo server that wont lag me or one that is not passworded.
I've never played htf online.

Specialists, this is only your sixth map? Hmm...I guess I've only made about 4 or 5. This map has some potential if you expound on it correctly. I could see several outlaying caves just hanging around the perimeter. Since this is htf, I'm not quite sure on how making this would come about since I haven't studied/made one yet. Eh, looks fine at the moment.

zyxstand, you can't completely rely on me to create all of your Territorial Takeover maps. You'll need to create some as well since you're the sub-gamemode's creator and ask some other map makers too.

I'll try to fix the link when I'm back home. I'm using my cousin's computer.

Keron, I'll create a Hold the Flag server just for you if you'd like.

Heh, really? Thanks very much, but I myself probably wouldn't ever play on it if you made one; I just want to see HTF get more exposure.
