Movies Movies Movies!
« on: June 30, 2007, 04:25:35 pm »
Lets make this the partially official movie thread!
Talk about upcoming movies, old movies, new movies, your favorite movies, get a point through and so on!

So to get a topic started I say we talk about the movies that have been coming out lately.
AKA, Pirates 3, Transformers, and so on.

I just watched Black Snake Moan on dvd... Ricci is strangely hot... and I hate the white trash look.... Anyway its a great movie filled with great music. Got the Shooter on dvd on my desk now.. I'll watch it tonight...

Btw I am a huge movie guy... I may post a list of my movies later on in this thread so you can get my point....

I can't really post my list of movies... Too many of them.
But yeah, I rented the Shooter, but didn't have time to watch, would you recommend it?

Also, I am a HUGE fan of Kevin Smith movies, I love them so much, and anything Stan Lee has to do with.

Haven't seen Shooter yet.. I will later. Kevin Smith made some ok movies... I don't really go by directors anyway. I go by actors.

AKA
Kevin Smith
Mel Brooks
Steven Speilburg
And Michele More/George Lucas

Out of the recent Summer movies in theatres, I've seen PotC 3, Spider-Man 3, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and Evan Almighty. The ones I'm going to go see next are:

Live Free or Die Hard (Looks incredible)
Transformers (Looks AMAZING)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Don't judge me, the movies are quite visual compared to the books)
Rush Hour 3 (lolol)
Bourne Ultimatum (Maybe...)

Has anyone else noticed that all of the recent movies this summer (Like the ones I just mentioned) have all been sequels and/or the third movie in their respective series?

Like what?  I'd love to hear your political views.

This is my politically view, in song form. lol pink floyd of course...the setting is three years after the up coming election if we continue to vote republican....

"Did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter, when the promise of a brave new world, unfurled beneath the clear blue sky?" (that is from "goodbye blue skies" by pink floyd 1979)

I hope that makes sense to you... what i mean by that is if we vote republican one more time a long lasting war will start and it will send all Americans (and most other countries) into a long-lasting depression.  That is my opinion of what will happen... we are all entitled to our own...

Read that if you guys think Moore is credible... also go look at the recent movie he made "sicko" where he (surprisingly) attacks something american again! Health care, I'll just make one point and leave you guys to google videos are articles of people.. again.. who know what they are talking about rip it apart. Health care is not free in America but its by far a better system because we get fast treatment and quality treatment. "Free" health care is nothing but waiting and waiting, and on top of that its not even free, its taxed from the citizens, and I am sure everyone here wants more taxes. I sure do! Anyway I am sure that  fat idiot would rather die cause of a heart attack then have a lifesaving surgery and get a bill for it.

Edit:

Here is one on Sicko:

I haven't said anything about Sicko yet, I am mainly talking about Fahrenheit 9/11.
I agreed with that.

Back to actual movies.

I LOVE Indiana Jones movies...

Pfft. No one can claim what movie is the "best" due to a little thing we all seem to overlook called subjectivity.

I still think Rush Hour 1 & 2 are fun to watch. Especially when you're forced into one of those family nights. It just got in my head, and it never seems to get boring.

Live Free or Die Hard (Looks incredible)
Saw it today, it's the best of the series in my opinion, the action is so thrilling, it will blow you away.
