There is a video, too.

I for one am glad that someone took a stand about that. They were putting a story about a sociallite above the prime minister.

That's what I'm talking about.  Great job.  Anyone who thinks celebrities are more important than our government or foreign affairs seriously needs to re-examine their life.
Gamer_2k4

Only anime shows I've felt any interest in over the years are Pokemon (original TV series) and various hentai.
so clearly jgrp is a goddamn anime connoisseur. his opinion might as well be law here.

I'm not British but we are one world and i totally feel your pain.  It's time we all stand up as one against this shit and realise that we may not profit financially but we may profit as a society.

I may not be making sense... i feel as tho i am... do you get what i mean?

Eh I don't feel like retyping my previous post So click here.

One more thing, Paris Hilton is being aired because the people on top think it will get ratings... more ratings.. more money. I am sure they are getting ratings too, but not from people that actually matter, little girls that want to be princesses and horny dudes just fantasizing about what kinky escapades are to come on laundry day are glued to the screen I am sure. Also the fact that its great drama... honestly  I I just laughed when I heard she cried... when I saw the pictures I laughed even more. Everyone loves to see a train wreck....

Re-edit:
After a look at an article on "sicko" something just occurded to me... in his 911 movie he asked congressmen to send their sons to war,(Cause I guess congressmens sons have no induvidual rights)guys who can afford health insurance. However its well known that many poor people in america join the military for the pay and benefits... like health  insurance, so why is he now complaining for these poor people that don't have health insurance?

Kid if you don't think every single politician tells the truth 24/7 you are a moron. Heck look at Kerry being called out on his military record(believe it was his military record) during his battle with Bush for presidency. Anyway hate for one party is completely idiotic, you my friend will get America nowhere, the only way we can actually do anything is if we put asside petty party differences and work together to make our world great. So, be a rebel... oppose republicans as much as you want, be cool and mock Bush... I am sure it gets you sweet poon. Just remember while you are bickering about idiotic details people that really understand what it takes to progress America are laughing at you.

so why is he now complaining for these poor people that don't have health insurance?

Perhaps because not everyone is able to join the military.

However, the point Moore was trying to make had as little to do with the poor as it had with the rich: he was focusing on middle-class people who are making enough money that they're barred from government benefits but not enough to support themselves when their insurance fails them either by rejecting them or by failing to provide proper service.

He actually makes some strong points, it's just hidden behind propaganda -- his own and the product of corporations quickly using his mistakes to paint him as a complete liar.

Maybe a little observation and careful handling of whatever fucked up your finger could've stopped that. Of course, thats the purpose of insurance, but you can make lots of choices in your life.

You have no idea what i know and dont know... i was raised against republicans and for democrats... i have since grown up to have my own set of beliefs.  I am currently not affiliated with any group knowing that both parties are liars... But i do know which party tries to fuck the people more than any other party in any other government and that is the republican party.  We are all wrong but at least some people try to raise the bar.

Work insurance say's they'll pay for "accidents on the job"... since that falls into the category of an "accident on the job" they should pay for it.

You can get both done... you just won't get them done for free, thats all insurance is, free money. I have no health insurnace now and I know that if I need surgery I have to pay for it. Health isnurance doesn't put you ahead of people that don't have health insurance.. it just means after the surgery is done instead of you paying for the bill your insurance company does. Heck the paramedics that came to a car crash I was in didn't care if I had insurance or not, they wanted to take me to the hospital either way.

You, like most of the country nowadays, have NO idea what republicanism stands for. Saying "they shit on people more than dems" partially shows this. Even lots of "republicans' have lost their old ways, and grown towards a shitty fusion of "morals", just like democrats.

The new wave of such things, both shit on people equally. You just have a bias and you don't know much.

They wanted to take you to the hospital because that is their job...  Why cant you people see?... the bottom line is money... if the insurance company wont make money then they wont pay for your procedure... Canada has mastered the art of free health care... Damn the 20th century... This is why what will happen will happen...... I think i am done with this

But i do know which party tries to **** the people more than any other party in any other government and that is the republican party.

You, like most of the country nowadays, have NO idea what republicanism stands for. Saying "they **** on people more than dems" partially shows this. Even lots of "republicans' have lost their old ways, and grown towards a ****ty fusion of "morals", just like democrats.

The new wave of such things, both **** on people equally. You just have a bias and you don't know much.

We both have our biases... You have no right to say i dont know much tho... i think your mad because peoples like me know too much...  Your the reason everyone in the world hates us...(and anyone who meets us in the future)...  but on any note im done arguing... it just isnt worth it.

I am not saying our system is perfect, nothing about America right now is perfect or will ever be. I am just saying the current system we have now is the best solution.

I'm no expert in medical treatment payment methods, but I'm sure there's always a better solution to any social problem.  Whether we know how to do it or not or are even aware that it's better, I can't say.  But given that there must be dozens of alternatives with hundreds of minor tweaks, it's much more likely that what we're working on isn't the best solution.

Canada has mastered the art of free health care

Really?  Waiting lists for important operations is considered "mastering" health care?  Just because it's free doesn't mean they've mastered anything, especially considering the fact that they were ranked 30th on a list comparing different countries' health care.

I thought this thread was about Paris Hilton, not politics or health insurance or whatever stupid shit you're going on about now. Gram, as someone who gets so incredibly sensitive when someone else goes slightly off topic, you're a complete hypocrite.

I'm sure Paris Hilton can afford health insurance, and she probably slants towards whichever party is more interested in her retaining her wealth.

I do have the right say you know shit. I'm not mad cause you know too much, there's never a thing as knowing too much. Everyone in the world probably hates people like you cause you speak a lot of shit when you don't know the first thing. I'm not saying I'm right about everything or that I know everything, but I can realize pages.

I am no expert either but I would tend to think our system is better if people with free health care choose to come here and pay for health care.

Oh how the mighty have fallen... that was a terrible try at flaming me, for one I was not the first to go off topic, secondly I tried to get this dicussion into Xxypher's thread by linking him to it since he brought it up in the first place, thirdly I did make my debate on Paris but people chose to look over it.

Edit:
But yes I do love the power to do whatever the heck I want... sweet corruption!

Yes, but you're still participating, aren't you? I merely pointed out you because as I said, you're otherwise incredibly sensitive about off-topicness. Enough with the sarcastic "durrr mod corruption power" thing too, you fail as a "comeidan :P".

I said mastered the art of free health care in comparison to America and i did that to make a point... im sure u know what i mean.  Compared to us, almost anything will work better... get it?  It's sort of a joke lol...

I went along because I knew it would just be a waste of time and too much pissing people off to try and get people to stop posting in this thread , move to another or make another. If I can stop a topic from derailing I will but with 3 people all ready for a debate its not like skipping down the yellow brick road. Now either add something to the paris or political debate or kindly get out of the topic :D

Btw... Corruption!

I have to agree about the Canadian health care thing. I hope to god I never have to get any major surgery because it's going to take a damn long time to get into a hospital.

But the government is doing their "Conversation on Health" or whatever they're calling it in an effort to fix the health care system because it is broken as hell.

And Smegma, nothing of what you've said so far has made any sense whatsoever. You're trying to argue your point of view and calling James out through some sort of psychoanalysis of his words which is complete crap. You've made yourself look like a complete idiot and have yet to provide any evidence as to why he doesn't "know shit" about Republicans. He may be wrong, I don't know, I'm not American, but at least attempt to say something that makes sense.

On the topic of Paris Hilton, I do respect that newswoman, I watched the video and I kind of have to agree with gram on this one. It was dumb as hell that it was the opening news but it was still hilarious how she was crying and calling for her mommy. Good stuff, I hope she learned something and that her talk of reforming isn't all just a bunch of crap.
