Congratulations for making the seven hundred and ninth M79 thread!
If it killed you at point-blank and there was no explosion, that would be even worse than with the explosion because the shooter doesn't take any damage. It'll be worse than the old pre-1.3.X Barrett.
The grenade should explode, but the victim must stay unharmed. I would want to see the shooter go boom all over the screen as punishment for his n00biness.
@Kryp -- go buy some skills. use /command to bring up the commands.
Isn't the M79 one-hit-kill no matter what the damage value is set to?

I attend grammar school, last grade, and ignorance is all around me. Well, good for them. Ignorance is bliss.
Dead wrong, you have no idea how many times I've tried to change this. Yes, explosion damage will change, but impact insta-kill is hardcoded, unfortunately.

Can the other weapons be buffed, then, so the M79 isn't the weapon of choice for new players?
The best way to cure the M79 is to simply nerf the speed the projectile flys at. It's nearly impossible to dodge an M79 bullet, and that's part of the reason everybody hates it.
