Computer is crashing when i run soldat

Hi,
my problem is: when i run soldat, i see only first screen with profiles, exit etc. and i can only move cursor, but i can't do anything else. The only way out is reset. I've got win98, directx 8.0.

You could try using Windowed Mode instead of fullscreen, enabling Video Card Compatibility mode, or updating your version of DirectX - Click

You need at least DirectX 8.1 AFAIK. Install the latest version, DirectX9c; you won't suffer any by installing it (assuming you can install it)
