... huh? What picture are you referring to? If it's your avatar, then I believe the forum auto shrinks any images that are too large in dimension. I might be wrong on this, but that's besides the point.

Oh, you edited the thread just as I was posting. >.>

As for the forum skin, I personally feel that it fits quite well. A change would need to be previewed and receive feedback from the community before Flab would actually put it on.

It took weeks of time from a handful of dedicated people to make all of the images and the rest of the theme.  This isn't some theme that was just downloaded and uploaded, it was custom made by a team of dedicated Soldat community members.

Unless you magically hit a jackpot of Soldat themes that can compete with this, it isn't going to happen.

Oh but what if we had a thing where it lets us choose which skin we want to show when we come to this site.

I do not know if that is possible with this version of SMF, but someone correct me if I'm wrong. Flab already tried to upgrade but it broke a whole bunch of modifications so he switched it back. Either way, even if is possible with this version, it wouldn't exactly be a walk in the park.

While it might be possible to use a new theme if a dedicated contributer made a better one, maintaining several themes at the same time is too much with the custom modifications we make.

You could at least change the main colours, right? No major changes, just a different colour scheme, which causes a different feel.

I actually really like the theme we have now. Its easy to see, easy to read, looks good, so I say its fine.
