Now, now, let's not escalate this into something personal; stick with the debate here, don't go calling me an asshole.

As for "not supportive of other operating systems," WMV can be played on Linux. I'm sure there's a Linux WMV codec out there somewhere, too.

Yeah, they play horribly and unreliably because MS keeps changing the spec of WMV, so OSS developers have to keep reverse-engineering the format.

To be quite honest, there aren't any that are both good and free. I have kept an eye out for about two years, and tried many a free program, and most suck.

Flies is right, there are far better video editing programs out there than bullshit WMM.

Just get off your lazy arses and look on download.com or majorgeeks.com, you'll soon find something decent.
