Notifaction when Someone Quotes you

I think there should be an option that when someone quotes you theres an option in your profile that you can set so you can get PM'ed or E-mailed telling you someone quoted you

Cause I find it annoying when someone quotes you and you don't find out until its to late

I hope everybody can understand my point

Also, wouldn't it use too many server resources for this to be implemented anyway?  Especially since people are quoting each other left and right all the time. If someone really wanted to piss another member off, all they would have to do is quote them in a post 5 billion time to use up their entire inbox.

also: if you want to find recent topic's / post's where people have quoted you, you can always just do a forum search for your username.

Why would you go through all the trouble of doing that? When it would be easier to just get PM'ed

If it gets abused:
1. You can turn the option off
2. You can always have a fit and squeal on them

If someone really wanted to piss another member off, all they would have to do is quote them in a post 5 billion time to use up their entire inbox.

Obviously you'd only get a maximum of 1 PM per post to prevent that.

Anyway, it does sound rather pointless. What's so hard about following threads you posted in anyway? The active topics button is all I need to keep me up to date.

Well, it would be nice if quoted text from you was highlighted, so it brings it to your attention or something, but other than that, I don't think this would be useful.

I totally agree with quoted text from you being slightly highlighted. Only enough to be noticeable.

The current quote color is #dee7ef, maybe the highlighted color could be something only a little bit lighter, like #eeeeee?

not only is this a feature that serves little purpose, but it would take a lot of time to implement.  A lot of more useful features could be done in that amount of time.
